Had an enjoyable time in Watchet and stay at Birch cottage. The cottage itself was a bit difficult to find since it's actually away from the main road tucked away behind the public car park however, this means it's away from the noise of traffic. I was very surprised as the cottage itself is lovely in a little gated court yard. I didn't do any cooking but the cottage seemed to have anything you could want. The bed was comfortable enough. I brought one of my dogs with me who loved it also. The only thing it didn't have was Internet which would have been useful as Vodafone signal was non existant. Watchet itself is a friendly little town and I met lots of friendly people and was lucky enough to be there when the annual wheel barrow race was on. A lot of the pubs allowed dogs which was perfect as I didn't want leave him in alone. All in all perfect long weekend.

The cottage is very comfortable and superbly positioned. Shops are literally less than a minutes walk away, which is very convenient! There are also a number of pubs very close by, which provide excellent food (we had dinner in The London Inn on several ocassions and enjoyed them all). I highly recomment this cottage.

A pleasant cottage in a small harbour village. It was convenient for walking, which was the main reason for our holiday. The cafe and restaurant culture was much better in Dunster Village but the harbour was fun and we experienced the most amazing firework display one evening. The local convenience store was sufficient for day to day needs and generally we really experienced a quiet and relaxing holiday.
