A beautiful barn which is very well equipped and comfortable....the log burner and the views from the lounge was so relaxing. Mr and Mrs Evans were the perfect hosts, a very warm welcome with homemade cake and only 100 yards away if you ever needed them. A perfect location from which to explore all that the area has to offer. We will definitely be going back.

The cottage was beautiful and has everything you need. Every detail has been well thought of and taken into account. Mrs Evans was very friendly & welcoming upon our arrival. The location was perfect for walks, a good base for journeys in the car or staying in in front of the fire! We will be returning.

We stayed for 3 nights out over Christmas. I cannot say a bad word about it. The cottage is superb and furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The owners are very friendly and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. There was even homemade mince pies waiting for us. Would definitely go back.

Wow we are in awe of "YSGUBOR" a truly outstanding Barn conversion, highly recommended. The moment we walked in though the front door it felt like home, We are very grateful for the hospitality we received, upon arrival we were offered the warmest of welcomes. A cup of tea ,home made lemon cake were awaiting along with a bottle of wine Emyr & Heulwen had also gone to the trouble of buying my son a Thomas the tank engine for his 3rd birthday which was a pleasant surprise. We had a fantastic time celebrating our son's birthday at "YSGUBOR" so many happy memories made over the four days we stopped. The owners really make you feel welcome they leave you to your own devises but always on hand should you need them. Having stopped in many cottages/Barn conversions over the past 20 years and enjoying many this one is my favourite! I have never returned to the same place twice but YSGUBOR will to be the exception to the rule. They definitely deserve to do well I completely understand why the have a The Gold award.

Beautiful cottage, immaculately furnished and equipped with a high level of attention to detail. Mr and Mrs Evans are very welcoming and live in the farm house up the track if you need anything. The cottage is dog friendly and has an enclosed garden with lovely views of the sea to keep your dog away from what is a working sheep farm. Would definitely stay again.

We are a party of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs and have just returned from a very enjoyable week in North Wales. Despite variable weather conditions; including rain, drizzle, low cloud/fog, high winds and warm sunshine we were able to do everything we had hoped to. We greatly enjoyed daily local walks with the dogs in the fields, hills and beaches, beautiful waterfalls and lakes, climbing Snowdon - the hard way, visits to Harlech beach, slate caverns and Zip World adventures and some really good evening meals. After a long 7 hour journey, mostly in the rain, we arrived at this very cosy and comfortable cottage to find a lovely home-made cake, wine and flowers. It was a lovely welcome and reflected the owner’s kindness and attention to detail. The barn conversion has been carried out to a very high standard and provides spacious and comfortable accommodation and has been fitted out with quality materials and products. We had 1 foggy and drizzly day and so we lit the woodburner and spent the time at the cottage watching the Olympics and dvd’s – we had a relaxing and very enjoyable day at “home”. Aside from the weather the only other issues mainly related to communications - the main one being the absence of any phone signal within the cottage (however this was a problem everywhere we went!) making it difficult to keep in touch, make enquiries or dinner reservations etc. Additionally, although the internet is provided, we only really had a strong/decent within 3 m of the BT outlet so more often than not the signal in the Living Room, at the other end of the barn, was insufficient. Lastly - the quantity of hot water seemed variable so we learnt to stagger our evening showers, which resolved this problem for us. These few niggles however did not diminish our stay and the owners were very friendly and welcoming, so all in all we had a very good holiday and would definitely want to return again at some time in the future.

We were three adults and an eight year old and very much enjoyed our one week stay at the cottage. We had a picnic table next to the cottage which had amazing views of the sea and the mountains. The toilet had a great view of the mountains too! The kitchen was really well equipped so we could cook most of our dinners and bake a cake too. Beds were really comfy and the big enough for my 6ft 5 husband and I; it wasn't long enough (no beds are) but there was no bed end which was good for him!
