A very sympathetic and high grade conversion of this cottage in a prime location for exploring the area. Very friendly and helpful owners living nearby. Stunning walks and scenery on the doorstep.

Lovely relaxing cottage with stunning outlook and ambience. Clean and smartly decorated it is well equipped with large comfortable rooms. It had some low ceilings and very tight parking for two cars (something the owner is working on to improve), but really nothing else worth criticising. Owner was very pleasant, friendly and attentive. Location is in the heart of one of the most scenic parts of the Peak district, however best to come prepared because being as rural as this, means there are no 'local' shops or amenities of any worth nearby. Overall a really great holiday in a wonderful area in a very comfortable home.

Everything was lovely except for the parking. We had two cars but only one was able to park at the property. The garage up the lane was very difficult to negotiate being narrow, and the entry on a slope. My sister (who had the smaller car) couldn't enter it without her tyres slipping on the gravel and her wing mirror catching the greenery on one side. The owner of the cottage, Jane, gave permission to park opposite the cottage (where one normally would not be able to park) as long as we were in the cottage but we had to move it if we went out and about.

Sorry for the late response. We had a really lovely time at Bank Cottage and were made to feel very welcome by Jane and Jonathan on our arrival. The cottage was perfect for our weekend with our friends and would definitely book it again. The only thing I would comment on was, we found the duvets very heavy for this time of year, so would have preferred something a little lighter, but the beds were extremely comfortable.

3 generations of our family stayed at Bank Cottage to celebrate a 70th birthday. We all enjoyed our visit immensely. The cottage itself has been finished to a high standard, is very clean and has everything you could wish to have in a holiday cottage. We found the location to be very good, close to Chatsworth, Bakewell, Eyam and Matlock Bath and very peaceful. We ate at the local pub (Sir William) which is less than 5 minutes walk away and were made very welcome, enjoying a good meal. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bank Cottage and would definitely return if we were to visit the Peak District again.
