Also within easy reach are the many beautiful gardens on the south coast. The historic city of Plymouth is a short drive away as are the many sandy surfing beaches on the north coast including Newquay with its zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. Visit the harbour towns of Port Isaac, where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed, and Padstow with its variety of shops, pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant.
