Acorn Cottage is a beautiful 17th Century barn conversion nestling in a rural position between the pretty North York Moors villages of Aislaby and Egton and has been equipped and furnished to a high standard. The cottage affords excellent views over the Esk Valley with a direct footpath walk leading to the Old Priory at Grosmont, terminus of the North York Moors Steam Railway line. An abundance of pretty villages within the National Park attract visitors all year round, in particular Goathland, alias Aidensfield in the popular TV series of Heartbeat. For those wishing to venture a little further, Whitby, Pickering and Scarborough are easily accessible, and the Dalby Forest complete with visitor centre promises an enjoyable days outing.
This property can be booked together with Granary Cottage (241130), Cedar Cottage (241131) and Park Lane Cottage (241130) to accommodate up to 15 people.

Ground Floor:
The accommodation is heated by biomass central heating, has underfloor heating to the ground floor and comprises:
Lounge/kitchen/diner: With electric stove effect fire, colour TV, DVD and radio/CD. Kitchen with electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge with icebox, microwave and washing machine.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with colour TV and en-suite shower room with double shower, WC, hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point.
Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with double shower, WC, hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point. Folding bed available for 5th person.

All fuel, power, bed linen and hand towels included. Bath towels available at £3 per person per week. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Use of owners telephone in emergencies. Enclosed lawned garden with garden furniture and off road parking for two cars available. The property has use of a shared freezer, and use of a shared tumble dryer at a nominal charge to the owner.

    Wonderful cottage, well equipped and comfortable, location was beautiful and peaceful. Not too far from shops etc. Owners very friendly and introduced themselves on first day, nothing too much trouble for them as installed chicken wire on garden gate next day so dog could not escape when asked. Had a relaxing , away from everything break.

    Lovely quiet area with fields and woodland walks in close vicinity. Cottage very nice with everything you need. Great local pub in the village. Would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
