Valley View Barn has been converted into a very spacious holiday home sitting high above the village, commanding breathtaking views down the valley and across rolling countryside. Located within the grounds of the owner’s working farm and 30 acres of farmland, this holiday property offers very comfortable and roomy accommodation for families and groups alike. On the ground floor the barn has large open-plan living, dining room and kitchen space, as well as a separate sun room. There is the added feature of a second living room upstairs, which takes advantage of the fine views. Upstairs you will also find the second kitchen and dining area which can easily seat 14 people together for those special occasions. The private garden boasts a hot tub; perfect for relaxing and taking in the valley views.
The area is a walker’s haven, boasting walks from the doorstep, with Glyndwr’s Way running through the grounds, and Offa’s Dyke and Monks Trod nearby. Also very popular are mountain biking, with many forestry tracks to be enjoyed, and horse riding, with a bridleway meandering through the farm. The area is rich in wildlife, and visitors can experience the red kites feeding at the Kite Centre in Rhyader. Visit the Elan Valley, which has amazing dams and stunning scenery. Within half an hour is the Royal Welsh Showground at Buith Wells, or visit Llandrindod Wells, which has golf, a swimming pool, shops, pubs and restaurants. A 4x4 off road school with a variety of track and obstacles for the novice to expert drivers is available nearby, along with clay pigeon shooting and airsoft game play. The owners are happy to arrange bookings for any of these activities on guests’ behalf (subject to availability, costs will be advised). Shop 6 miles, pub ½ mile.
