Relaxing retreat for 4 with lovely sea views and a private balcony overlooking Wigtown Bay

Spring Tide is just the ticket for a cosy and very comfortable and relaxing base in which to discover this delightful corner of Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland’s best kept secret! The master bedroom has its own private balcony with lovely sea views across Wigtown Bay. Just perfect for a romantic night cap, morning coffee and just planning your day. There are walks straight from the front door along the seashore and particularly enjoyable is the walk to Cruggleton Castle, skirting the grounds of Galloway House and stopping for a picnic on the pretty sandy beach at Rigg Bay. Strong walkers can continue on to the Isle of Whithorn, affectionately known as ’the isle’ to the locals. The annual calendar of events hosted by the county is overflowing with activities for everyone whatever their age. We have music festivals, arts and crafts and open studios, country fairs, mouth watering events for foodies, walking festivals and much, much more and all the venues have one thing in common; they are surrounded by the most dramatic scenery and over 200 miles of stunning coastline.

This was out third stay at Spring Tide we love it.The house is the cleanest and best well equipt we have stayed in. Everything you would need is to hand. Not a lot going on in the village but that's what we like. Plenty walks straight from the door or a little father afield for some lovely Lochs. Can not recommend Spring Tide highly enough.

Spring tide is a lovely house situated very close to the harbour, with lovely walks from the door. However the village is very quiet with no shop but there is a lively pub. The situation suited us and it was a good touring base. If we didn't live so far away we would certainly use the property again.
