This cottage is so welcoming, the garden is great for families, and the hot tub was a definate hit. The location of the cottage was really good for looking around, as within an hour theres the Cotswolds, Gloucester, Chepstow, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean. We would love to come back and explore some more. The Murray Family.

Absolutley loved our stay at Rose Cottage. A beautiful home from home with everything you would ever need to make a perfect family break. We loved the homely feel, good quality bedding towels and kitchenware. The lounge is spacious and comfortable, we enjoyed having family meals in the dining room and breakfasts in the conservatory. The two main bedrooms are stunning, extremely spacious and impressive, the smaller rooms don't have alot of space but are nicely furnished. The beds are all super comfy and the cottage is so peaceful, despite having busy days we got plenty of sleep and rest. The hot tub, games room and huge garden were a hit with the kids, we enjoyed sitting out in the garden watching them play. The weather was good for us but even if it wasn't I think we would have enjoyed the place just as much. It's a very quiet village with no walkable amenities but Blakeney is five minutes away with a fab chippy and grocery store, Lydney is abou 10 mins away with a Lidl and Chepstow is about 20 mins away with a Tesco and lots of sightseeing. We enjoyed meals at The White Hart and Silver Fox in Broadoak...and would definitely recommend. Only thing we could say is that we would have loved a futon in the tent...i know this is a new addition but the kids really wanted to camp out...wished we had brought sleeping bags.

The house is in a lovely location- the roads are extremely narrow and unfortunately some locals don't appreciate holiday makers travel slower on roads they aren't familiar with. On arrival there was a problem with wasps- a nest had been removed, but residual wasps within the house made our first night unpleasant- Charlotte did ask someone to come around on day 2 to sort them out. She tried her best to resolve the problem- Thanks. Overall a nice location for a relaxing family holiday.
