Plenty of room. Lots of cutlery, crockery etc. Very little storage in bedrooms. One bedroom had a stand with hangers and a couple of baskets. An upstairs bedroom just had hooks. We left lots of things in our suitcases. It did feel as we were living in someone's home as there was lots of personal things in drawers and on units. The fridge and freezer had the owners food in. We were invited to use any of the dry goods and drinks on the drinks trollley. There was an honesty box to be used by guests. This may be a positive for a lot of people but we felt as if we were intruding. Lovely shower in the downstairs bedroom. Two sitting rooms, one without a TV which was ideal, so there was a choice of sitting and chatting or watching TV The house was certainly big enough, plenty of parking for two cars, easy to drive to places around and about. Garden chairs and lounges provided which we used at the end of the day. The owners had left Bird seed, so we filled the feeders and enjoyed watching the birds. There's a small Spar shop a couple of minutes walk away. This has all the basics you'd need and a cash machine.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for the review and feedback. Very useful and much appreciated. We have debated the bedroom storage and feel that the space is too tight for chests of drawers but will have another think about the options. The items in the kitchen drawers are all for guest use - such as cling film, foil, spare tea towels etc or are things we think people will find useful. They are not personal items. The dry food cupboard could be locked and therefore not perceived as ‘available’ space for guests but again we felt its handy if you need a small quantity of flour or herbs etc. It is not one of the main cupboards and we hadn’t felt it is necessary to lock it but may do so now. There should only have been ice in the freezer and if there was any food in the fridge that was an oversight on my part as I left immediately before you arrived and must have forgotten something. We have a separate personal fridge in our house keeping room. On the contrary to make you feel as if you were ‘intruding’ the honesty drinks tray is intended to be welcoming and has been very popular. We will in future offer to remove it before guests arrive.

Jane has thought of absolutely everything! It was 'home away from home' but with a wood-burner and Norfolk on our doorstep. House being set back from the road is a bonus as no traffic noise but only a 2 minute walk to the local Spa (which was really well stocked). We loved that the house had space for each of us to do our own thing, be it read, watch TV or play board games. Local fish & chips were a treat but the kitchen was well-appointed for cooking evening meals for up to 6 adults. Wi-fi was excellent (a real necessity with kids!). We plan on returning - perhaps to see Norfolk in warmer weather - although we'll miss the fire! Oh, and loved the drinks tray as we are big fans of Gin - so able to try some of the local ones.

A very comfortable cottage, very well maintained and equipped with a good garden to sit outside. The location is very quiet but there is a local shop and a pub. I would definitely return here to visit Norfolk.
