    Oystercatcher Cottage is a traditional fisherman’s cottage on a tiny street in the old sea town of Cullen. Within 500 yards is a lovely, sandy beach and quaint harbour. Cullen, about 10 minutes’ walk, has interesting shops and eating places to suit all tastes, and is a lovely seaside village with fine views of the sea through the viaduct traversing the main street. The stretch of coastline is dotted with many quaint villages and marine life, including dolphins and minke whales which are regularly spotted, and there are lovely coastal walks from the doorstep. Inland, the castle and Whisky Trails are easily accessed and the majesty of the Cairngorms National Park is just an hour’s drive away. Shop ¼ mile, pub 300 yards.

    Take time to meander along the winding roads of this stunning coastline, dropping into some of the other villages which nestle along the coast. Plenty of walks are available in the area, not least up The Bin Hill, a well-known local route. Look out for wildlife; otters and the famous Moray Firth dolphins may be spotted, or inland birds of prey and deer are common sightings.Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
