Description

Located in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this property is ideal for exploring the Fforest Fawr Geopark.

Cennen Cottages are set off a country lane close to the small village of Bethlehem in the upper Twyi Valley with lovely views across open farmland and up towards Carn Goch, an Iron age hill fort. Dolgoed House (ref RA5) has lots of character with exposed stone and beams and boasts four en-suite bedrooms; two of which are on the ground floor. Y Stabl (ref OM2) is an attractive stone barn conversion. Both properties stand detached and have a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings, and a large lawned garden and patio for enjoying al fresco dining on warmer days.

Located in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park, between the boutique town of Llandeilo and the farming village of Llangadog, both just a few miles away and offer a good choice of places to eat and drink. There is spectacular walking along the high ridges of the Fforest Fawer Geopark, plus scenic cycle rides or drives along the river. The area is home to the red kite, one of the UK’s most beautiful birds of prey. It is also the setting of numerous castle and historical sites set in stunning locations including Carreg Cennen, Newtwon House, Dinefwr Castle and Park and the Dolau Cothi Gold Mines (underground tours available). The National Botanic Garden of Wales, with its giant glass dome is well worth a visit at any time of year, while at the coast, Kidwelly Castle and Pembrey Country Park, with its 8 miles of sandy beaches, are must-see day trips. Shop and pubs and restaurant 3 miles.Cennen Cottages are set off a country lane close to the small village of Bethlehem in the upper Twyi Valley with lovely views across open farmland and up towards Carn Goch, an Iron age hill fort. Superb cottage for a family stay, wonderful location and well equipt kitchen. The owners were helpful and friendly, the little touches on arrival and tips were welcome and useful. As there are a couple of birds nests in the eves, great to watch. The windows could need cleaning more regularly, however this was very minor point. Overall a fantastic property with great facilities and beautiful Welsh surroundings.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback and I am very pleased your family enjoyed their stay in our property. We are sorry to learn that you felt the windows required cleaning and we would have been pleased to have arranged to have the windows cleaned immediately if we knew of your concern at the time. Needless to say they have been thoroughly cleaned since!
