A spectacular setting made this cottage a little gem of a find. Very cosy, traditional and comfortable too. Access to the public walkways along the coastline were within easy reach, as was the town of Abersoch. We had a fabulous stay here.

Stayed there with 7 year old and 15 month old. Although they provide highchair and cot I would say it wasn't suitable for a toddler. Stone floors with different levels are trip hazzards and too many other hazzards for little ones. Gardens not gated either. Stunning panoramic views and sunsets magnificent and very peaceful. More suited for couples or older children.

Stayed at Y Gegin for 3 nights with a 4 year old and 18 month old. The cottage is best described as rustic but functional. It could do with some updating. The heating on the rather chilly Easter weekend was provided from 2 electric radiators and the electric fire. Thankfully there were plenty of covers on the very comfy beds but the lack of warmth in the bathroom could have been a problem if we had been staying longer. Kitchen was well equipped and clean and a very nice hamper was waiting on our arrival from the owner. There were some safety concerns in that there are different floor levels throughout the cottage so not great if you have less sure footed people with you. The location is quite remote. It's approximately a 5 minutes drive from Abersoch village and the last 200yards is up a farm track but the views from the house in all directions are amazing so if you're looking for some peace and quiet it is ideal.
