the weather was a big problem for us during our stay - only one dry day. this put a strain on the accommodation in terms of space (limited) and drying facilities (OK).
Lunga was very new, all the equipment was in first class condition. although we did not like glass tables, especially the coffee table, which was difficult to see as it was an irregular shape. We walked into it several times.
I run holiday cottages myself and thought the kitchen equipment sparse. We would have expected:
potato peeler, serving spoons, tea cups and saucers (not everyone like chunky mugs). small bowls for desserts and fridge storage, milk jug, and some flexibility in basic kitchen equipment. Cupboards should contain some basic essentials, such as spare salt (there was a cruet but it was half full), flour, sugar, vinegar, herbs, oil. Lunga is a long way from shops and we had to buy full size packs (e.g. flour) to use an occasional spoonful. I suppose this sort of thing accumulates with successive guests. One house we rented in Wales, a long way from shops, had a little 'store' of essentials in a cupboard with a jar for money.
we also provide soap, shower necessities, washing up liquid, spare cleaning cloths, tea towels and kitchen towels. Two tea towels is not enough for one week as kitchen linen has to be changed every day. We didn't want to be using the washing machine just for this.
Our agents provide us with a very comprehensive list of equipment. We found Lunga was OK, but basic. No books, CDs DVDs.
No mobile phone service - I wish they had warned us about this in advance.
