Really nice small cottage. The bedrooms are rather on the small side. We had to buy our own potato peeler which was a bit of a nuisance. Otherwise a lovely little holiday in a beautiful location.

We stayed in the Weir Cottage in mid May. We have stayed in a number of lodges, cottages and other establishments during our regular Holidays near Inverness. This cottage would currently rank at the top of all the places we have stayed. The location is really good. Very hand for popping into Inverness, only 2 minutes from a small Tesco for filling the Fridge and cupboards. However, whilst in the cottage or on the grounds you feel like you are much more isolated than you are. It's very quiet, no noisy roads etc. There are some easy walks along river Ness straight out of the cottage. We took our dog and she was very happy with the walks. She even met some friends. The cottage itself is very nice inside. The rooms are all clean and very tidy & fresh, not tired. There are plenty amenities like the washing machine, dishwasher, fridge with a small freezer etc etc. All the things you should need. A few very minor points. 1. There is a shed, located beside the drive of Weir cottage which holds some of the equipment used to maintain the properties. A number of times when we popped back in the middle of the day the door was swinging open so we decided to park in the lower parking space. Not a big issue though. 2. There are a number of trees sitting between the cottage and the river. They do that bs urge the view a little from the cottage to the river. Again, not a huge issue but in my opinion the view would be better if you had a clearer view to the river from the living room. 3. There did not seem to be any information on what waste/recycling could go in which bin, especially plastics. A quick telephone got the answer though. Overall though this is the best cottage we have stayed in when staying up Nirth. All member of the party agreed that they would have no hesitation booking another stay here in the future or recommending it to others.

Weir Cottage is a modern comfortable semi-detached holiday cottage. More spacious than the images suggested. It is beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and fittings. The property is fairly new and in good condition. It has great views over the River Ness and hills beyond. There are nice walks along the river from the cottage. We stayed at the cottage with 2 young children and the proximity of the river did not present a problem (admittedly are children are not allowed to wonder too far on their own ) . Could perhaps have more equipment such as an additional TV, BBQ (could not see one when there), some more kitchen items such as egg cups, kitchen scales ( no I was not baking a cake but required them to weigh out porridge oats and pasta) . The cottage is on the periphery of Inverness and about a mile from a small Tesco supermarket, which is really handy.

Best lodge I've ever stayed in. High quality throughout and very well equipped. Views beautiful and location was perfect. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere even though shops were a short drive away. We will be returning very soon. Perfect and peaceful!

Beautiful location, very comfortable and clean accommodation...we did find some other people's underwear on a bedroom chair, which the cleaner obviously forgot to pick up..but pleased to report that the rest of the cottage was spotless. We had lovely walks with our dog along the river. Even though the cottage was not far from town, the area was very peaceful and just what we needed for a few days to re-charge. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

We liked Weir cottage very much, but we felt that some of the trees at the front could do with being cut as they prevented the sun from getting on to the veranda. We would not return to Weir cottage as we hardly ever return to a holiday venue. There are too many other places to see.
