Hoseasons Cottages

Relax and unwind in a Hoseasons cottage. Wherever you choose to stay our aim is to ensure you have a wonderful holiday experience every step of the way.

Set in sumptuous Devon countryside and enjoying views over an adjacent lake, these two holiday lodges offer extremely well appointed accommodation and their own private hot tubs

Two purpose built contemporary lodges, set in an elevated position above the owners farmland with far reaching views across meadows and a small lake in the valley. Guests are enchanted by the beautiful location, the quietness and dark starry night skies. Both properties are extremely well appointed and spacious both inside and out, each boasting large decked terraces, with gates for keeping both pets and children from roaming, and each having their own private hot tub. The perfect location for families or friends looking for a peaceful retreat for a holiday or celebrating a special occasion, and the perfect spot for those looking to explore the wider surrounding area. A well established hedge provides complete privacy between the two lodges, but a small access path means that the two can be hired together for large groups.
Close by, the Grand Western Canal and Country Park, offers boat trips and great walking and cycling, Knighthayes National Trust, 3 miles, Killerton and Powderham Castle. Exmoor’s seaside resorts, Dartmoor, the city of Exeter, south coast towns and north coast surfing beaches are easily accessible. Beauty treatments, local veg and meat box and home cooking can all be arranged (at extra charge). Shop/PO 2 miles, pub 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed/dining area/kitchen. 2 double bedrooms, one (four poster) with en-suite shower room and toilet, one with additional pull-out single (2ft 6in for child). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Please note: This property has a security deposit of £100.

We have stayed in many lodges and this was the best equipped one. Lovely welcoming owner who left the personal touches. Very relaxed surroundings but a little far from the Devon coastline and popular attractions.

Stunning views, the wine, flowers were a truly personal touch, hot tub was very relaxing. I have never tasted fresh eggs like this. Thank you so much. 5 stars all the way.

Had a lovely break- loved how everything was there ready for us such as games for the kids and adults and all everything that we were short of was provided. The only downfall was the sofa bed, it was very uncomfortable and I got really bad back problems from it.

Fantastic stay. Everything imaginable was thoughtfully placed. The cream tea on arrival was very generously sized and amazing! Heather was so lovely! The chicken farm and little touches like eggs and wine were lovely. The beds and sofa were slightly uncomfortable but still great for our needs. The hot tub was incredible! Woolacombe, dawlish and exmoor zoo were not far to travel really either!! It’s been a week since we left and I wanna go back already! Perfect chilling getaway thank you x

Really lovely location with fantastic views. Lodge was really clean and tidy. The main living area and kitchen was very spacious with plenty of seating. Outside area was also very clean and spacious. The hot tub was well maintained and the water was tested by the owner daily.

The lodge is located centrally so easy access to north and south Devon. Bit the inside is very tired and needs updating on initial look just looks eclectic bit the sofa and beds have seen better days and need replacing. Didn't help that we had rubbish weather and so had to spend most evenings in the lodge.

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your feedback.I am sorry you did not find the lodge as you would like. We pride ourselves on our standards, but unfortunately it is difficult to cater to everyone's taste and comfort in furniture. From the reviews below this hasn't seemed a problem and people have loved the lodge, whatever the weather. We are always at hand if there is a problem that needs resolving.

Wattles is an amazing place to stay, we would definitely recommend it to friends and family. The host was welcoming and the eggs / wine was a lovely touch. Relaxing in the hot tub whilst watching the chickens and taking by in the view was one of our many highlights of the week. Loads of fabulous family memories made during our week. Loved it 😃

Lovely lodge, really cosy. It was quiet and peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. The lodge itself had everything that you could ask for, and of course the hot tub was just the thing to counteract the not so joyous weather.
