Enjoy a great family holiday at this property, with beaches and seaside towns within easy reach.

These beautifully renovated detached Welsh barns, Ty Llo (ref W43266) and Coal House (ref W43267), stand a few yards apart, and a small terraced row of three (300 yards from the barns), comprising Wyth-y-Nant (ref W42214) and Hawton (ref W41830), both end terraced properties, and Coeden Afal (ref W41764), the mid terraced property, are all situated on Carmarthen Bay in the coastal setting between Ferryside and Kidwelly. Tastefully decorated throughout, each bursts with character including original stone walls and beams. Close to the historic castle at Kidwelly and just a short drive to Carmarthen. Beaches at Ferryside, Pembrey and Llanstephan are all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day at Fos Las racecourse, only a 15-minute drive. The holiday cottages provide an ideal location from which to enjoy the sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire and the Gower, the latter renowned for being Britain’s first AONB. This is am amazing cottage. We had a very warm welcome from the owner. The cottage was spotless clean. Plenty of parking spaces. Easy access to lots of lovely beaches. Very dog friendly with wooden floors and an enclosed garden space. Loved it, and would love to return. Thank you

The cottage is part of a set of converted barns. The building has been renovated to a high standard, but is slightly let down by the furniture (bedroom) which is showing its age. My one gripe about the master bedroom is that The en-suite though nice, actually isn't very practical as there is nowhere to put anything. The living space is bright and airy though the kitchen is laid out in a slightly bizarre fashion leading to a lot of walking! The owners are very friendly and are keen to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. The situation near the estuary of the three rivers is great and the sunsets wonderful . It is very peaceful and restful. Final concern is re pets. Dogs are welcomed but then not allowed to be left. If that is to be the case then this should be said upfront not once you get there. I don't have a problem with the rule, but I do have a problem about not being forewarned. For this reason I would not return.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. Whilst we appreciate the positive comments, we will take on board what has been said about the en-suite in the master bedroom. In reference to your comments regarding pets; they are not to be left unattended in a property and this is clearly stated within the Welcome Cottages Booking Terms and Conditions.

Gorgeous barn in beautiful surroundings, just 5 mins walk from the beach. Fenced garden for doggies! Spotlessly clean inside and out just missing a few little finishing touches we have welcomed at other cottages we have stayed in e.g a couple of tea bags and small milk on arrival, the biscuits were very nice though, also the shelf had broken off the fridge door, meaning we couldn't fit everything in and milk had to be lay down which leaked, also a few smaller oven dishes would be useful. We were very impressed with the dressing of the barn, there were even socket covers.. very useful with a newly crawling baby, and my girlfriend now wants a copy of your master bedroom at home! Perfect for a mini get away with the in laws and our 9 month old!Thank you!!

I spent three weeks in this great cottage. Spacious, well equipped and clean. Comfortable beds, chairs and reliable Wifi. Best en-suite shower I have ever used. Plenty of local walks by the rivers and sea: Kidwelly, Ferryside, Burry Port, County Park Llanelli, Laugharn and further afield: the beautiful Gower, Tenby, St David's etc. Friendly hosts who were responsive and helpful.

Excellent hosts and a wonderful holiday - possibly the best yet. Didn't want for anything. The weather did help with being gorgeous all week, but still a fantastic place. The only downside was the vision to the left when pulling out from the cottage. Nothing to do with the people running the site, more to do with the idiots driving to fast along the lane. Extra signage of a blind entrance/exit would help, but of course only if people take notice of it. A wonderful holiday, please pass on our thanks and gratitude.

The cottage was fab it was very modern and had everything you needed. The field opposite was great to take the dogs on for a run and for the kids to play on. The enclosed garden around the cottage was useful for the dogs too.

Had a fantastic time here. Spotless and everything you could need was available. We were a little bit away from all the attractions in South Wales, but as the cottage was such brilliant value it was worth the drive

Excellent cottage done to a very high standard. The bedrooms were fantastic both with en-suites that were well thought out. The location is great to explore South West Wales. A visit to St David's and Rhosilli Bay are a must. Plenty of CADW properties in the South West that are dog friendly too. Would definitely recommend this cottage and area.
