A fabulous cottage, perfect for relaxing. A wonderfully well equipped kitchen and very clean. Hot tub is great and the games room good for the kids. Red squirrels visit to eat the nuts put out for them and loads of birds visit the garden. WiFi was good for, no problem streaming TV. Highly recommended.

The cottage was in a lovely location, it was very homely & the beds were so comfy & had everything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed watching the birds come to feed at the cottage & the binoculars & bird book came in handy. You just had to step outside gate & within an hours walk you had spectacular scenery or just sit in the hot tub & take in the views, the 2 local pubs had delicious food I highly recommend the venison burger from the Munro Inn. The village shop did some tasty meat pies , great for picnics on your walks. I cannot rave about our holiday to Strathyre enough ! Awesome , fantastic & a family holiday we will never forget.

Excellent accommodation! Very comfortable and well kitted out. The kitchen had all you could even need to cater for a large group with a big enough dinner room to enjoy eating together The beds were very comfortable in fact so much we are going to order the same bed! The hot tub and Sauna were a real luxury and used every day. The cottage is situated in beautiful surroundings with plenty to do. Definitely the best place we've stayed in!

It would be hard to overstate the care that has gone into making this cottage one of the best we have ever stayed in; the owners have thought about pretty much every need their guests might have. The cottage itself is conveniently situated away from the main road in Strathyre, with access to Forestry Commission land starting literally at the end of the drive. If you don't fancy climbing up through the forest, you can take the footpath down towards the Loch, stopping off at the Broch cafe on the way. For a longer walk one can head towards Balquidder. The village hosts a small shop/post-office, an ice-cream parlour, bike hire and an Inn serving evening meals. More comprehensive facilities can be found in Callandar, around a 20 minute drive away. Online supermarkets will deliver to the cottage. Just a couple of observations: The tumble-drier is a condenser type, which means the collection tank will need emptying regularly. The games room better suited to children than adults. To sum up, this cottage and its location are absolutely top class.

This was a lovely holiday home. My only gripe was something of a personal preference. I like a firm bed with light bed clothing. The mattress was soft and spongy and I felt I was sleeping in a marshmallow. I know this is a personal preference, so I can't really fault the house. It is extremely well equipped and clean - better than my own house! We had a lovely holiday despite the weather and made full use of all the board games, books, the games room, sauna and hot tub!

lovely cottage with fine walks close at hand. Ive never stayed anywhere that caters for the "rainy days" more as well as kitchen and dining room having everything and anything you could possible need. Only thing missing is a clothes airer for laundry room. Kids loved the games room and hot tub and owners couldnt be more helpful. We even enjoyed Monopoly by candlelight during a power cut due to the electric thunderstorm and there were plenty candles on hand . Even the family pets enjoyed the large enclosed garden. A fantastic place to stay we had two couples and 2 children with 2 dogs and we all enjoyed the garden and walks on the doorstep .The owners where great .There is plenty space in the house and even more in garden .The entrance drive is on a slope but once used to it is easy enough to park 3 cars. You will enjoy this location especially the local birds and squirrels visiting the garden every day my dog did not know what to make of the squirrels as never seen one before .There is a summer room which overlooks back garden and spent night in there and watched sunset lovely. The kitchen has everything and more you will need and good quality pans .You can hire bikes in the vilage and cycle to Callander on a flat path .There is a cafe in a park area that sells great coffee and snacks recommended and dog friendly . We have stayed in cottages and lodges in scotland for the past 10 years and would say this has been the best so far .
