Stayed as a family for a few days whilst visiting the area, the cottage was wonderful - and even decorated for Christmas too! The lovely log burner was used as it was quite a cold few days but this only added to the charm of our stay. The bedrooms were generously sized, the smallest one holding the travel cot and a single bed without issue. Only niggle is the low ceiling in the main bathroom - which I forgot on a couple of occasions :-) We didn't have a chance to speak to our host/cottage owner for long but she seemed very nice and helpful and I'm sure wouldn't have hesitate to help if there were any problems (which there wasn't!) - the downstairs open plan layout worked really well even with the whole family there and the utilities/games room in the garage was well provisioned although didn't get a chance to use them much.

In our ten years of holidaying in cottages this has to rate as the best cottage we have ever stayed in. It was immaculately clean and had a fully equipped kitchen in which to cook in. The owners provided a welcome pack and there was use of the Wi-Fi, which was of a good speed. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very homely. Parking was easy and our dog had the run of the paddock behind the cottage. The owner had thoughtfully provided beautiful little touches throughout the cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful setting within the village of Huggate which, itself, is set in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. There is easy access to the coast and to York. There are no amenities in the village, apart from the pub, but there is an excellent fish and chip shop in nearby Wetwang. The nearest shops are in Driffield but there is also easy access to Pocklington and Malton. If you want a "get away from it all" holiday then this is the perfect cottage.

The Weaning shed is a lovely, extremely well equipped cottage with lots of unexpected extras. On arrival the cottage was super clean and the welcome basket was a very kind gesture. Would definitely recommend this cottage 10/10!

We had a fabulous stay at The Weaning Shed. Would highly recommend as it is set in a beautiful location if you won't to escape the hussle & bussle of life. There's no shop in the village but with Pocklington only a short drive away wasn't a problem for us. There is a lovley pub in the Village just a short stroll from the cottage, Our Two Labradors had a great time the paddock was a real treat lots of beautiful walks, we will definitely be returning a beautiful find a real home from home thank you to Audrey for a wonderful stay x
