The Warren was a perfect home from home. We received a warm welcome from Amanda and Roy (and also soon made friends with the hens, but not the geese!). The cottage was very comfortable, well furnished and cared for and became a perfect base for the holiday. Our children loved feeding the hens and watching the animals, particularly the antics between Tan the dog and the flock of geese as they were put away each night and we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the evenings. We would stay again without a doubt.

We had a very friendly welcome with delicious brownies and a big smile. The cottage was great, well equipt and very pleasant to stay in. From the garden a nice view over the hills and with some luck a good look unto the deers. But, even when the deer won't show themselves, you can't escape the chickens strolling around.

Eggs, cakes and milk on arrival and a friendly welcome. Easy to find and to access all the places we wished to visit. Enjoyed being in the middle of a farmyard, including the very personable chickens who came around for a regular feed. A very relaxed week - with the hottest day of the year included.

Our Family: - Two adults. - Two year old boy. - Four year old boy. - UK cottage holidays twice a year. The Warren: - Inside: - All on ground floor which is great if you have young children. - Very clean, my wife is very fussy and she didn’t feel the need to get her cleaning stuff out which is a first! - Decent shower and bath. - Cot for our just two year old but could have easily let him share the other bedroom with his brother as there are two beds in there. bedroom. - Safe for young children. - Kitchen well equipped. - Plenty of parking space, if you wanted to have visitors round you could fit several cars. - TV and DVD with small selection of DVDs, toys, books and games. - Outside: - Lovely garden with swing for the children. - Excellent views. - Children loved the chickens, chicks, lambs and geese. - Deer visible in woods from garden. - Amanda bought a toy tractor round for our two year old to ride in the garden when she saw how excited he was to see the real tractors. - Garden furniture and plenty of space for a BBQ. - Great place to relax although as a family we spend most days out and about. Location: - Alongside the Fosseway and a short distance from the M40. - Curry house and large Sainsbury within 5 minutes by car. - Lots of places to visit nearby [within 45 mins drive]: - Warwick Castle. - Stratford Upon Avon. - Bourton-on-the-Water: - Birdland. - Paddling in the water. - Motoring museum. - Cotswold Farm Park (Adam Henson’s Country file). - Mary Arden’s Farm. - Lots of National Trust and similar properties with space for children to run round and play areas, woodland walks etc..places we visited include: - Charlecote Park. - Baddesley Clinton. - Upton House and Gardens. - Snowshill Manor and Garden. - Hidcote. We absolutely loved our stay at the Warren as did our little toddler whose face lit up every time he looked out the window and saw the sheep, lambs and chickens. It was a lovely setting for a family holiday in a beautiful well equipped cottage and wonderful hosts in Amanda and Roy. Situated very close to both Warwick and Stratford there was plenty to see and do and lots of attractions to visit. We particularly enjoyed Hatton Country World equally we loved a quiet day spent at the cottage and our little boy loved wandering round the garden to see all the farm animals and particularly loved seeing the tractors go by. The cosy cottage was perfect for relaxing in the evening with a roaring log fire. We were very sad to leave and have created some wonderful memories. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Excellent cottage. We had a wonderful few days, helped by glorious weather! My 2 girls (ages 4 and 16 months) loved being on a farm and seeing the lambs, chickens and geese. The cottage itself was great and very well set up, and the owners friendly and helpful. A good base to explore with plenty of places to keep small kids amused- we visited Stratford (inc butterfly farm) Leamington, Warwick Castle and 2 National Trust properties. Also found a good playpark and kids funfair on the edge of Warwick. Highly recommend this cottage!

Our third visit and we will be back. This is a warm comfortable cottage in an area where there is a lot to see and do whatever the weather. The Warren is also cosy and peaceful enough just to stay in and relax. Sadly - and for family reasons - we had to cut our visit short but wil look to book again sometime in 2017l

We had a fantastic stay at the Warren. The owners were friendly and helpful and went to extra lengths to make our young son's farm stay really enjoyable. The cottage was very peaceful, had great views, had everything we could think of and was very comfortable. It is a great location and very accessible for local towns, tourist attractions, walks along the canal, etc. Our only reservation about leaving such a positive review is that the cottage might be all booked up when we want to return!

We stayed at the Warren during the last week of the summer holidays with our two young children. We were delighted with the comfortable cottage decorated in true farmhouse style. The cottage was well equipped, clean and had a utility area. We had a large drive, a garden and a lovely views of fields with sheep. There were chickens and geese next to our garden area and the children were thrilled to be able to feed them and pretend they were farmers. The sheep dog entertained us by rounding up the sheep and geese in the field opposite the kitchen window. The owners were lovely and friendly and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. In terms of safety for young children, the cottage was all on one floor and there was a fire-guard for the open fire. The cottage is in a great location for visiting Stratford, Warwick, the Cotswolds, and there were a good few National Trust places nearby that were well worth a visit. Highly recommended.
