From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

This converted stone holiday cottage enjoys a peaceful setting on 57 acres of farmland and rolling countryside.

Situated just 5 minutes from Cardigan Bay and within easy reach ot the whole of the beautiful Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastline and coastal walks, these three converted stone holiday cottages (refs OSB, OSC and OSC) are peacefully set on a farm with a selection of alpacas, donkeys, llamas, goats, ducks and chickens. The owners who live on the farm, which is set in 57 acres of rolling countryside, encourage the children to interact with the animals, and are also pleased to offer the use of a barbecue hut nicknamed the ‘Hobbit House’ by the family. Guests can hire it during their stay directly with the owners, subject to availability and for a small charge. The owner can also supply their own barbecue meat packs on request (charge payable). Within a 15-minute drive visitors can discover quaint New Quay, famous for the bottlenose dolphins that can often be seen from the harbour (boat trips available in season). The colourful, Georgian, harbour town of Aberaeron is just a bit further up the coast road, with its chic shops and plenty of restaurants. Antique shoppers and browsers will enjoy the nearby market town of Newcastle Emlyn, and Cenarth with its waterfalls is also close by and offers indoor swimming, coracle rides, fishing and paintballing. There are numerous attractions in the area, particularly suitable for children. Nearby is the Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, which is set on a headland overlooking the nature reserve of Cardigan Island, home to thousands of sea birds. At the foot of the cliffs, a colony of Atlantic grey seals can be observed in their natural habitat. Spectacular coastline and wonderful views can be savoured from the NT-managed Penbryn Bay and a visit to NT Cilgerran Castle can also be enjoyed. Only the ruins remain of this striking 13th-century castle, whose vantage point overlooks the wonderful Teifi Gorge. Also nearby is the town of Cardigan with its restored medieval castle. The Teifi Valley Railway is another experience for the visitor, a 2 mile journey offers wonderful views of the valley and countryside. Golf and horse riding can also be found locally. Shops 1 mile.

Just the place to go and unwind, peaceful and quiet.Very spacious. Plenty to do in the area if you want. We enjoyed the walks with our dog which is a great bonus being able to take him with us on a Family holiday. There was everything in the 'Stables'you could want to make it homely. Just walking in and seeing the flowers and cake on the table all you needed was a nice cup of tea, there in the fridge was the milk, tea, coffee and sugar was also there.what more could you want? Thanks for a great holiday.

We received a friendly welcome, with a chat on where to go what to do etc. Owner Paul has now put some fencing around the patio area enabling our dog to have some outdoor time off the lead - in case you have red previous comments. The Stables is beautifully decorated, nicely furnished, all rooms have all that is necessary for making your stay comfortable. The kitchen equipment is a little basic if you want to cook from fresh but we managed to make do with what was there - have stayed in better equipped cottages. The cottage was clean, though the crockery was not; unfortunately we found the remains of the previous occupants' meal on some of the plates ;( - a shame, as quick check of the plates, before change over, could have highlighted this easily. This spoiled our arrival a little as we had to rewash all crockery to our standards on the first day. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay - the location is excellent for all those little covey beaches & coastal walks. Best dog beach is Oxwich where you can walk from cove to cove when tide is out. Pen Bryn is not a dog beach - though worth to do the coast path to the west and then have a gorgeous cake at the little cafe the 'Plwmp Tart'. Ducks, Donkeys, Lamas & Alpacas all contributed to make this a perfect week away from every day life at home!

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments, we value customer’s feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and are disheartened to hear of the issues you had upon arrival with the utensils. We do pride ourselves on the standards of our cleaning and we are very sorry to hear that on this occasion the utensils were over looked. We hope this did not affect your stay too much and hope to see you at The Stables in the near future.
