The bungalow is lovely and comfortable, located in a nice quiet village, is well equipped and has a stunning garden - which is a pleasure to sit in. But, both my husband and I were quite unwell during our stay there. We don't know if the cause was something in the property or not. We only had the heating on when we returned in the evenings. Then, half way through the week the weather improved and we did not use the boiler at all, and we felt better - unsure if this is coincidental. We would have contacted the owner of the property about this - but their contact details were not available on any of the paperwork we had - which I think is a big mistake.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Agent; Thank you very much for sending your comments when you had returned home after the holiday, and we were sorry to hear that you were unwell during your stay. We have taken your comments very seriously, and as soon as we received them made the owner aware of your report. She made arrangements to immediately go to the property and had extensive tests carried out by the boiler servicing firm to check for any problems with the boiler. I am pleased to say that all the test results were negative and the boiler was found to be working quite correctly. Yorkshire Cottages in Leyburn manage this property on behalf of the owner, and all the contact details including an emergency helpline were sent to you with your holiday details. For this reason there should be no necessity to contact the owner who does not live locally, but to ring us immediately if there is any problem at a property. We are pleased that you found the cottage lovely, well equipped with a stunning garden.
