Description

Tastefully furnished, and in a rural location, this is a great property for a family holiday away from it all.

These two delightful stone built holiday cottages, (refs 27170 and 27171), have been thoughtfully converted from former stables into lovely cosy accommodation. Situated on a working farm, they have been beautifully styled with contemporary furnishings and make a great base to explore this lovely area. For family groups they can be booked together, or alternatively, they make a good choice for couples. There are several good golf courses, fishing, including sea fishing, and other country sports establishments, all within a short drive, or you may prefer the superb walking available in the nearby Angus Glens. There are plenty of activities in the city of Dundee, 4 miles, from country parks at Clatto and Camperdown, to ice skating, cinema, leisure pool and HMS Discovery. St Andrews, Perth and the East Neuk of Fife are all well worth a visit or alternatively indulge in some retail therapy in Dundee’s shopping centres. The villages and towns strung out on the coast from Broughty Ferry to Montrose offer clean beaches and local produce, notably the famous Smokies from Arbroath. Shop 1 mile, pub 11/2 miles, restaurant 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room with French doors/kitchen with tiled floor. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin, both with French doors. Shower room with toilet.

High chair.

Both properties: Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Electric heaters and electricity (initial £20 included, thereafter by meter reading). Bed linen and towels included. Travel cot on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi available at £5 per booking. Sitting-out area. Shared gravelled and lawned area. Barbecue. Parking (3 cars). Pets must be kept on lead (working farm). No smoking.

Excellent stay at a supremely comfortable cottage. Great location for explorong Dundee, St Andrews, Perthshire and the east coast. Beautiful conversion of the old stables with loads of light and outdoor spaces. Lovely welcome pack including home laid eggs. Lovely owners too! Thoroughly recommend.

Great cottage. Comfy bed. Lovely friendly hosts. Free eggs, bread and wine on arrival is a lovely touch. On a working farm which is fantastically scruffy ( not the area around the cottages though which is fine).

This property is absolutely lovely and the attention to detail is wonderful - an amazing stable conversion. The location is great and it is lovely to see the red deer in the next door fields and the two horses looking over the fence. I would recommend this for anyone who wants piece and quiet but just a few minutes from the city of Dundee and the Angus glens. The owners are lovely and so helpful. The fact they welcome pets is great. Absolutely everything you need is provided - the perfect holiday property in the perfect location!!

Great cottage, spotlessly clean. Loved the wood burning stove - perfect for those chilly October nights.

First class property and first class hosts. Extremely well equipped and modern cottage offering outstanding value for money. One minor gripe is the weak shower water flow but apart from that brilliant place to stay.

fabulous cottage, and the owners are lovely! a welcoming gift of wine, bread and eggs was a nice touch and the rooms are all comfortable and well equipped, although the knives were rather blunt, but that's my only criticism. It is a bit remote, but we didn't mind that however be aware you do need a car unless you fancy a longish walk to get a bus. Its on a working farm so you do need to be conscious of that but its beautifully set with a nice garden and bird feeder as your vista. Logs are provided for the colder Scottish night and you can buy more if needed. We also weren't charged extra for electricity despite us all charging laptops, ipads and phones, and quite a bit of cooking. Would definitely recommend it, we had such a lovely stay there.

Brilliant cottage very welcoming hosts, ideal place to visit central and eastern Scotland. Only fifteen minutes from Dundee but you are in the middle of some stunning countrywide, peace and quite, watch out for deer in the fields and hares.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location and yet so close to Dundee. Photos don't do it justice, it's much bigger inside than you would think
