We only booked our stay a short time prior to our visit and the owners were very accomodating in allowing us to change arrival day from Friday to Thursday. We arrived in the dark so had no idea as to the spectacular views we were going to see in the morning. There was milk and homemade shortbread waiting for us which was greatly appreciated. The cottage had everything you could wish for, a fully equipped kitchen if you wanted to cook any meals. It was extremely clean, warm and homely. The owners were available to answer any questions you may have and were extremely helpful and friendly. The cottage was very close to major routes to get around the area.

+ Lovely views from the windows. Plenty of good walks in the area. - Close to a surprisingly busy road, given the remoteness of the property. It was quite noisy, even inside the property with the windows shut.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments, I am pleased you liked the views and enjoyed the local walks. As advertised the property is situated on a country road and yes there may be a slight increase in traffic at certain peak times such as rush hour or on a weekend with visitors to the Peak District but I wouldn’t class this a busy road and I have not had any previous complaints in the last 10 years.
