This holiday cottage is ideal for a couple who wish to explore the delights of the Pembrokeshire Coast.

Shared 17-acre grounds with woodland walks

Lying peacefully down a quiet country lane between the bustling coastal resorts of Pendine and Amroth, these traditional Welsh barns (refs 29463, 30251, 30252, 30521 and 30522) have been restored to a very good standard and make a perfect touring base for couples or families looking for a seaside getaway. Situated on a small holding complex with a small farm shop on-site, the former barns dating back to the 18th century retain much of their original charm and character, with each room having comfortable furnishings and amenities for that unforgettable holiday experience. Coastal Wood Holidays received the highest accolade of Gold at the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards, as awarded by the Tourism Asociation. These properties are nestled between Amroth beach and Pendine Sands in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park, with 17 acres of natural grounds and woodland walks, which lead to the spectacular coastal path, where guests can discover the hidden Horseshoe Coves and unblemished tranquil beaches dotted along the coast. The charming village of Amroth is close by, posing a selection of traditional pubs, restaurants, cafes and a sandy beach. Just a stone’s throw away are the picturesque harbour towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby, offering an array of boutique gift shops, art galleries and restaurants with freshly caught fish always on the menu. Explore the off-shore island of Caldey and share the serenity and tranquillity of the Cistercian monks, or take a sea safari along the dramatic coast, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Away from the coast, the rolling countryside is just as promising with its array of traditional market towns dotted around the country including Narberth and Haverfordwest as well as the numerous enchanted sites including Pembroke and Carew Castles. Visit Oakwood, Folly Farm and Bluestone for action packed day out. Dairy Cottage (30523) and The Buttery (30522) have an interconnecting door and can be booked together to sleep 8. We have stayed in many small cottages in Wales, and also in Cornwall and Dorset over the past 10 or so years. The Nook was the best we have stayed in so far, and we are looking to book again for next year. The cottage was well-designed, had everything we needed (and more) including the very well stocked small honesty shop on site. The cottage was also very comfortable. It is well located for Saunders foot, tenby and Narberth. The beaches at Amroth and Marros are lovely and within walking distance, if you enjoy a medium length walk (but it is uphill all the way home!).

A warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean & extremely well equipped cottage. Even dog bowls were provided! Delightful personal touches abound with flowers & local cakes on the table & milk in the fridge for our arrival. The bathroom toiletries were definitely 5 star! Lovely spot with good walks on the doorstep. We found the whole area very dog friendly. Lots of great beaches allowing dogs, except from May-September. Many of the hostelries allow dogs also. The welcome pack was extremely comprehensive listing places to visit & eat. The farm shop was an asset. Lee & Abi, the owners, are delightful. So helpful & obliging. We enjoyed our week in The Nook, helped by wonderful weather.

The cottage was excellent for us ,it was lovely and peaceful and the owners were very helpful with information without being intrusive at all. The cottage had a log burner which added to the relaxed atmosphere. The only comment I would make is that the bedroom is full of character and was great for us but the less mobile may struggle with the low beams. We would love to book again it is a lovely area.
