A wonderful place to stay but not for elderly. Seating and lighting not suitable for reading or sewing at anytime.

Great destination and amazing property! Beautiful, steeped in history and perfect for large parties. Made the perfect setup for my wife's 40th especially the little extra left by the owners. Personal hot tub and games room included too. Only gripe would be the lack of welcome pack. I assume large parties primarily stay so the smallest carton of milk on welcome is a little tight especially given the price tag for a two night stay. I would of expected to at least have a small breakfast pack: bread, butter, few packs of bacon etc.

Overall our holiday was fantastic. The property was lovely, really clean, had a really well equipped kitchen and is in beautiful surroundings. The hot tub, swimming pool and games room were really great and provided hours of fun for all our family. However, as we occupied every room some of us were more comfortable than others. Therefore if we were to go away together again we would try to find a property where every bedroom was comfortable. In the Manor House most rooms were lovely. However one room had very low ceilings and the other room had very very steep stairs, so steep that the occupants were nervous of going to their bathroom, which was on the floor below, at night. There is mention of this in the description so we were aware, but we would just be a little 'pickier' next time. Also the double sofa bed was in the entrance hall, it was supposed to be suitable for two adults, however we were only able to put one adult in it and it did not have a door or blinds on the windows. Lastly most of the bathrooms did not have locks. This wasn't a huge issue apart from the downstairs shower, which was located in the kitchen. It was shared by the downstairs bedroom and the person on the sofa bed, so you had to sing loudly whilst in the shower, which wasn't ideal. It was quite an expensive property and we don't feel the price reflected these less comfortable rooms.

Great house in great location. Our second visit. Well equipped with loads of space in communal areas. Only downsides: it's an old character filled house which means it can be cold and noisy. Comes with the territory but everyone attending needs to be aware in advance. The downstairs bedroom isn't brilliant and needs a veg peeler! Perfect weekend venue for multiple families.

Excellent accommodation and excellent location. Only two gripes: 1. We did not find the room thermostat until rung back on our penultimate day. 2. We found the lighting inadequate to read in the sitting room and some bedrooms Thank you
