I stayed here with my husband and 2 dogs. It was so quiet and relaxing and the big doors made the most of the view. There is a very large porch area to dry the dogs and just open the door and they can go to the side garden to do their business! A short walk down the lane is a lovely wood with a large flat area, ideal for throwing balls and chasing squirrels. Presteigne is a lovely quiet town with a Spar and Costcutter, butchers, greengrocer and fish and chip shop and of course pubs.Even though it was winter we wrapped up and sat on the large verandah at night and listened to the owls. Came home feeling refreshed and cant wait to go back

Lovely comfortable accommodation in beautiful surroundings and amazing views. All mod cons available, dishwasher, microwave, oven, hairdryer, power shower etc. The Lodge is a relatively new build, we were very happy with the space and overall aspect of the property when we arrived and would definitely visit again in the future. We took our dog and youngest adult son with us. You aren't allowed to leave your dog in the lodge alone but the owners do have a kennel available if you want a day out without your pets. The lodge owners are lovely people. Holiday can be as peaceful or as active as you want to be. There are lots of places to visit nearby and if you do want to visit the coast it's a very pleasant drive that takes about an hour and a half. Wonderful place. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely week at The Lodge. It is comfortable and spacious and had everything you need. Some lovely touches provided by the owners. The views from the veranda are gorgeous. The owners dogs are adorable. The local area is perfect for walking. Loved the High Street which had a proper butchers and greengrocer/fishmonger. Lovely area for walking dogs at bottom of bridle path, then a short stroll into Presteigne for pub lunch. Perfect place and area to get away from hustle and bustle. Holiday was 'practically perfect in every way.'

A TRULY AMAZING STAY!!! The Lodge is absolutely lovely and everything is the highest standard and so comfortable. The location is spectacular and so convenient to visit many wonderful places. We've been to Aberystwyth, Elan Valley, Hereford and the RAF museum in Shropshire. We had the best of both worlds, a tranquil place for our base plus so much to explore nearby. We can't wait to come back again and recommend others to pay a visit to this hidden gem. Thanks a million for the warm welcome and the lovely cake!
