Hill House was very warm and clean when we arrived. We where a large family party with 3 small children. We thought it was well equipped with crockery cutlery ect. but has we had little ones with us we would have liked a vacuum cleaner. Plenty of room for such a large party and the snooker room was well used and because of situation we did not have to worry about making any noise as with children there was plenty. Definitely value for money and we hope to return next year. Perhaps could use a cooker update and a bigger fridge as it had a extra freezer in utility room.

Lovely house and located in fantastic scenery with wonderful Autumn colours. Very spacious, comfortable and warm for such a large house. All 18 of us could sit in the largest lounge which has 5 x 3 seater sofas. There is a second lounge 3 x3 seater sofas and a large games room (darts, pool and snooker table and table football) in an out building so plenty of space to accommodate everyone needing peace/quiet or play. All 18 of us could sit at the dining table to eat together without squeezing past the back of chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with large pans suitable for catering for larger groups. The upside down layout of the house works ok -note-shopping bags have to be carried upstairs to the kitchen so you need plenty of helpers on hand when delivery arrives. Nice to have plenty of coat hooks in long wide hallway and room to dry out wet boots. Most of the bedrooms are ensuite with lots of hot water available. Great to walk from house along canal path to nearby villages and pubs plus large supermarket in Sinfin 5 mins drive away if required. Really enjoyed our week there and would stay again.
