Description

Filled with attractive features and set in an Area of Natural Beauty, this holiday will delight everyone.

This delightful, holiday cottage is attached to the owner’s period property and its name refers to the stunning floor-to-ceiling window in the bedroom. It is set in an AONB in the Dedham Vale where the artist John Constable painted many of his famous scenes. Set in the owner’s grounds, with its own private area of garden, it is the ideal choice for a romantic break and is in an excellent area for walking and cycling. The nearby Roman town of Colchester has an excellent range of shops, as well as a zoo and castle. The peaceful Stour Estuary, Maningtree, and Mistley are a 6-minute drive, whilst London is less than an hour away by train. An excellent location to explore all the delights of both Essex and Suffolk. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Large living/dining room with kitchen area and French doors. First floor: Double bedroom with
6ft bed, floor-to-ceiling window and vaulted ceiling. Shower room with toilet.

Lovely break away from work! Lovely location with a very welcoming host!! Be able to watch the stars at night in such a peaceful environment was amazing! The glass room was decorated and furnished beautifully as well! Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful area, well-equipped property. Initial concern over privacy (living room French doors open onto owners' garden) proved unfounded, as we never saw a soul for the whole 3 days (apart from the owners' 2 cats who visited each day!). Quality of furnishing is high, with lovely big TV. However, little things seem to have been forgotten/omitted - a toilet roll holder, for instance! Also, the bedroom windows are stunning floor-to-ceiling affairs, but as they can't be opened, it can get VERY stuffy when the weather is warm (which was the case when we visited in August). We took our own pedestal fan, which was an enormous help. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the property.

Lovely place to stay, was left to our own devices. The glass room is a lot better than the photos, not far from main towns but near to countryside and rivers for you to relax. Overall a great holiday destination.

Very pretty house, very modern and spacious for two, it does advertise a washing machine but this is in the owners house and you have to ask to use it, we found this a bit frustrating as we were away for ten days in total and had hoped to do some washing etc, also it needs an ironing board and iron, the grill pan had been left dirty by the previous guests, and there were a lot of dusty cobwebs about, and a few stains on sofa and carpet but overall a nice place, the bedroom gets extremely hot in sunny weather and you cannot open a window upstairs, the Fan didn't really do its purpose as it was very hot.
