Nice enough cottage but road immediately outside was far busier than expected. Stairs up to twin bedroom are not for the faint hearted! Garden shrubs in need of trimming.

Felt at home the moment we entered the cottage. Garden did need a little tidy, but loved the layout of it. Had a few giggles using the Norfolk Winder stair case to my bedroom(-: The Local people were kind and friendly, especially he elderly gentleman who told us to walk round his lake anytime we wanted. It was like going back to " the old days" (-:

Absolutely stunning and quirky house. The pub next door was very friendly. The Owner was easy to contact and explained everything very clearly.

Really enjoyed our week. Two points - 1. Needs a "duck your head" sign on the bathroom door as I managed to hit mine twice. 2. Shower occasionally went from normal to either cold or scalding hot.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. We are pleased you enjoyed your break at our cottage and thank you for your comments. We have now put a mind your head sign above the bathroom door as you suggest. Re: The shower, we do ask guests to call us if there are any problems, as like any property things do go wrong occasionally. Unfortunately the first we knew that there was an intermittent problem was on this website, and the problem was rectified immediately we saw this.

The Croft is a 600 year old Cottage in parts, with not straight line in sight, but this is its querkiness. Modern kitchen (fully equipped) & bathroom. Sadly the cottage is on street parking, and the streets are very narrow, which left us very nervous leaving our car parked there. But if you pop into the pub next door (The White Lion) introduce yourself and ask nicely, the very nice owner/manager allows you to park in the pub carpark - this relieves the stress with the car being safer.

Wonderful bank holiday weekend at the Croft. Beautiful thatched cottage well stocked with everything we needed. Lovely small garden at the back. Someone else had parked outside of the cottage all weekend but it was no problem to park in the White Lion pub next door. The White Lion itself is being renovated by new owners and the food selection though small is freshly cooked and delicious.

The cottage is lovely, I do think they should update the bedding, as in pillows and duvets and sheets. This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage and is lovely except for some updates.

Had a lovely 5 night stay, cottage dates back to 1470s and is wonderfully historic and quirky. Very cosy and comfy too. Well equipped. Lovely fireplace with log burner. Great that we were allowed to take two dogs and that there is an enclosed garden, which would be lovely in summer. Parking in car park of pub next door or immediately in front of the cottage. Pleasant village in a lovely countryside area full of medieval towns and villages, also lots of walks. There are two staircases, those to second bedroom are extremely steep, there is a connecting door between the bedrooms. Some road noise noticeable at night if you are not used to being by a road, though it isn't very busy.
