Nice enough but photos on website made it look more modern. Cleanliness was ok- we didn't realise it was a dog friendly cottage so this was to be expected. No wifi as was advertised and owners said it should not be stated on the listing Unfortunately we didn't find the price comparable to other cottages we have hired in the past. However the owners were lovely and the location was very tranquil.

A great cottage in a superb location. If you a looking for a farm cottage where you can relax with your dogs, then this is ideal. A nice, large cottage with a dog-friendly garden and old-world charm, surrounded by fields and a small duck pond. Ideally located for the roads and also the dog-friendly beaches at Seascale and Drigg. Also good Co-op and Chinese at Seascale. Owners are on-site and very friendly and welcoming. Definitely one to go back to again.

Clean and tidy upon arrival, as last year. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Glad to see 2 new sofas in lounge as the old ones were beginning to feel "tired", beds were lovely and comfortable. The cottage feels very homely and is very well equipped for self catering. The property and garden have wonderful rural and mountain views and exude peace and tranquility. An excellent location with lovely beaches at Seascale, Silecroft and St Bees, and the amazing Wast Water is only a 15 min drive away and various other attractions close by. We had only been home 2 days when we booked again for next year, What more can I say!!!
