We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the cottage is comfortable and warm. As a party of four plus two dogs we had plenty of space to relax after energetic days walking in the lovely countryside [ the kitchen would be a bit crowded if there was a party of six I think ]. The main bedroom has a small ensuite bathroom , and there is a separate bathroom on the landing with an electric shower over the bath , both the bathrooms are a bit tired and could really do with upgrading. There is a small patio and enclosed garden at the rear of the cottage which is very quiet and allows the dogs to wander in and out without us having to worry too much - although small dogs could possibly get through the fence if determined. There is plenty of parking space in the cobbled courtyard at the front of the cottage and a large utility room is accessed from the side of the front door, which is very handy to store boots, coats etc. The cottage is a great place to have as a base for exploring the area , we had a very pleasant time and would certainly consider staying here if we ever come this way again.

Lovely comfortable cottage that is very well equipped for self catering. Superb location, great beaches for dogs at Seascale and St Bees, Wastwater has to be a must with stunning scenery. Although cottage is attached to owners accomodation, this did not detract from the peace and tranquility there. Also wonderful views from cottage and garden. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The beds were certainly very comfortable but I did drop the comfort rating a notch as I did feel the sofas were a little tired. Despite the fact that we had a very cold week with sleet and hail in April, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (as did our Irish Red and White Setter) and we can't wait to go again!

Second stay at this cottage, would recommend again. It's very homely, has everything you'd need and more. Great new extended patio, garden perfect for sitting out in the evenings. If you love walking/hiking, this cottage is very close to the best views and paths in Cumbia. Looking forward to next year, same cottage of cause!!!
