Absolutely brilliant place we stayed in January 2016 and it snowed, cut us off from the main road but we parked there and was just a 10min walk to the car. Ideally located though and when the main roads are reopened to keswick just a short drive to anywhere in the lakes really. Some great local walks if you want to stay local too. The couple that own the cottage are friendly welcoming and couldnt do enough to help us if we needed anything. We shall be returning!!!

Cottage was lovely but we had to pay extra for electricity, which we had assumed would be included.......ad also claimed there was 'ample parking for 2 cars'...no there wasn't and parking was difficult. I hated driving the road to the cottage as it was a very narrow and bendy lane!! it was great to see the wildlife (red deer and woodpecker) and the owners were very nice and helpful. (lots of fire wood was provided for the week)

This was the second time we have stayed at the cottage. It is set in a lovely quiet rural location and had everything we needed (including no tv which was nice !)Lovely log burner makes the cottage warm and the views from the property are stunning, you never get bored of that view I can assure you.If you are set on walking and at the same time having some lazy days then this is ideal. The cottage owners are very friendly and helpful. We intend to return again and again.
