If you like getting away from it all then this is the place for you. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, great walks from the door. Its not five star luxury but it is my favourite holiday place.

A lovely cottage for those like us who want to get away from it all and don't need tv, computers etc. Ideal location with stunning views and there are so many great walks from the cottage. It is set on a working sheep farm and the couple who rent the cottage are very nice and friendly and always happy to advise you on anything. Coniston is a 15 minute drive away and the lake there is so much more peaceful than Windemere and the other more commercialised places. We go every year and just love it !

Absolutely brilliant place we stayed in January 2016 and it snowed, cut us off from the main road but we parked there and was just a 10min walk to the car. Ideally located though and when the main roads are reopened to keswick just a short drive to anywhere in the lakes really. Some great local walks if you want to stay local too. The couple that own the cottage are friendly welcoming and couldnt do enough to help us if we needed anything. We shall be returning!!!

The Cottage is a perfect location for anybody wishing 'to get away from it all'. Christine and Philip were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Cottage was lovely but we had to pay extra for electricity, which we had assumed would be included.......ad also claimed there was 'ample parking for 2 cars'...no there wasn't and parking was difficult. I hated driving the road to the cottage as it was a very narrow and bendy lane!! it was great to see the wildlife (red deer and woodpecker) and the owners were very nice and helpful. (lots of fire wood was provided for the week)

Fantastic Holiday retreat to get away for a while and relax. Beautiful scenery and walks from the cottage. Philip and Christine, the owners, are very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning next year.

This was our third stay here and we have already booked again for 2016, it just does and is everything we want from a holiday cottage and the location is fantastic, the owners are lovely and although a working farm they were there if any help or questions needing answering. All we can say is what a little gem.
