This cottage is absolutely wonderful - so full of character. It's not often you get to stay in a real mill! I found it by accident and only stayed for a couple of days but definitely plan to go back for a longer stay.

Super cottage with lots of character, spacious, very well equipped and clean. Felt very welcoming and lots of thoughtful touches. Board games, plenty books and good DVDs provided. Bottom floor handy for coats, boots and dog cage. Lovely, quiet part of the Lakes.

Just back from a great stay in the Corn Mill. The Corn Mill itself is lovely, very cosy and immaculate. We very much appreciated the fact that towels were included, but when we arrived appreciated that other essentials were provided too such as hand soap, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, tea bags, coffee, milk and biscuits (in fact anything you might have needed I'm sure would have been there. There is also a wide selection of books (novels and Lakeland books / maps) and DVDs in case you just want to chill inside. Great location for visiting lakes and coast and we also enjoyed being able to walk to the local pub for food and drinks. Owners are very welcoming and helpful and was lovely to hear the river right next door when leaving / arriving at the property. The Corn Mill has been beautifully renovated and we loved it - would definitely love to return.

We really liked The Corn Mill and would definitely recommend it and would certainly want to stay there again, if we were going to that area. It was full of character and the ground floor area, where some of the old mill workings remain, proved very popular with visiting grandchildren. The week we were there, over New Year, was very wet but the Corn Mill was warm & cosy. The owners were very welcoming & helpful. The pub just a short walk away was good for food and the surrounding area was very peaceful

We were on a business trip in the are which we extended to a short break, although the weather for the 4 days at the end of November was appalling, the cosy, friendly athmosphere at this cottage more than made up for it.

We had a lovely week. The Corn Mill was very comfortable and well equipped. The owners had left a pint of milk and the makings for tea and coffee which was much appreciated after a long flog up the M6! I would definitely stay there again.
