Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled with shower chairs available), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. Situated in the grounds of the family farm (non-working), they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

All on ground floor: Living room with beams and French doors. Dining room/kitchen with beams and French doors. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin with en-suite walk-in shower room and toilet. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

    A beautiful peaceful haven. Really cosy and welcoming cottage with open fire. Loved the layout and the beams. Very well equipped and tastefully renovated. In a very pretty village with great little shop and cafe. Perfect way to relax. Loved the horses outside in the field , the pheasants and hawks and the sound of the barn owls at night and early morning bird song. Excellent rural retreat.

    We had a wonderful time at the Bull Pen. The cottage was nice and well equiped. There are some nice walks in the vicinity. There was one small problem with the smell of the kerosine tanks that will need to be adressed.

    We had a great week. It's a lovely location and we did some walks from the cottage. It was great to have the Village Shop and Tea Room nearby, as well as two pubs within walking distance.

    This is the second holiday we have had at this location. The first was in June at The Dairy, the second in July at the Bull Pen. Obviously, we enjoyed the first holiday so much we could not wait to go again and was lucky we found a free week in July. I cannot recommend both these converted accommodations highly enough as is evidenced by other people's reviews. It is an ideal location if you have dogs. The walks are delightful and relaxing. The owner is very helpful. Beds are comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The only downside we experienced was the very very hot weather the second time which precluded us going out and about a much as we wanted to as it was too hot for the poor dogs - however we were able to take them out close by and relax in the garden with our evening meal most nights. We will go again next year if possible. Thanks for two lovely holidays.

    Lovely and cosy. Plenty of room and excellent walks on doorstep for dogs. Would definitely recommend this cottage. Needed a dusting but everything else was great

    We had a lovely, relaxing, and quiet week staying in our cottage. Great location for visiting attractions in West Sussex.
