19th century barn conversion, walks from the door, bridleway close by, stabling available, popular area for cyclists and mountain bikers.

In the heart of the Ribble Valley and converted from a 19th century barn, these holiday homes, all with wonderful views, are situated on the owners’ working sheep farm (owners offer lamb feeding March until May) and set in 170 acres of environmentally managed farmland in the heart of the Forest of Bowland (AONB). The Barn (ref 27977) and Bramble Cottage (ref 27978) are semi-detached and The Stable (ref 30562) stands detached and are in a perfect location for wedding ceremonies, providing ideal accommodation. With walks from the doorstep, the area is also popular for cyclists and mountain bikers. There are several fisheries nearby including trout and fly fishing, and Whalley Golf Club is less than a mile away. Situated on a bridle path, there is stabling available on site (to be arranged directly with owner). Children will love Brockholes Nature Reserve, Bowland Wild Boar Park and the Roman museum at Ribchester. There is also a dry ski slope nearby at Pendle. Other places of interest include Gawthorpe Hall, Samlesbury Hall, Townley Hall and Clitheroe with its castle and museum. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are both within an hour’s drive. There is a golf course approximately 1 mile away which is open to non-members. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Beautiful walks that even the children (3, 4 and 5 years) could manage easily. The house is very spacious and all bedrooms are equally nice which is not always the case. We can recommend 'The Barn' to families and couples who are looking for some peace and quiet.

We took our three boys (aged 5,3 & 1) to The Barn, and we had the most fabulous holiday. Roy and Kath were the most welcoming of hosts, even involving the boys in chicken feeding and allowing them to really experience the general farm experience. The Barn was clean, spacious, fully stocked and a delight to come back to after a long day out at the numerous activities in the area. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Bramble Cottages and wish Roy and Kath continued success.

Great place to chill out and get away , very spacious . The owners Roy and Kath were there if needed but not intrusive, the grandchildren enjoyed the sheep and the added bonus of the new born puppies which they were allowed to handle . Really enjoyed the week and would go back again

We had a great time at this cottage. The owners are really friendly and helpful. It is very remote though and you would need to drive to go into Whalley. We also found the water wasn't very nice but we just bought bottled water and that solved the issue. Lovely place though.

We had a fantastic time staying here. The farmers were lovely. The children loved watching the farmers work. It's a beautiful conversion. Beautiful views. Would recommend this place to anyone. Easy to get to Blackpool from here too. Only a 40 min drive.
