Lovely cottage and a nice base. The dogs enjoyed it - all the different walks and experiences for them - the walk by the railway was their favourite! Previous comments about the furniture being outdated were strange - the furniture was lovely and beautiful quality! Only wished there had been two settees and not one!!! Just so we could both slob out!! The cottage was so well equipped it was like being at home with everything you could want. My only tiny criticism (and it's not even that really) was the bathroom towels - they were so rough it was like sandpapering your skin!!! I'll just take my own towels next time!!!! And I would definitely go back.

The cottage is in a quiet location on the edge of the village with shops and pubs only 5 minutes walk away. Very warm, comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for our holiday. Unfortunately due to the bad weather the garden was too wet and muddy for the dogs to go out there, which was a shame. However overall a really nice place to stay!

Both humans and doggies had a great stay. Comfortable yet not excessively luxurious to worry about the dogs! Cute property with convenient access and parking plus very easy access to Buckfastleigh with its pubs, restaurants and shops. The doggy cupboard and garden are great for the dogs plus the house is surprisingly well equipped for a holiday property. Recommended.

Whilst the location was good in the village we were disappointed with the accommodation in general. The garden is very small and the furniture is very tired looking. The pictures used on the website seem very out of date. Cleanliness was an issue with old hot cross buns found in the cupboard! Had to re - wash all the crockery before using. Both blinds in the bedroom were broken so had to be left permanently closed.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you found the garden too small. It is advertised as secure and small and can be seen on the website. The furniture is Mexican pine and is assessed by the Owner 4 times a year and by Welcome Cottages annually (It is only 8 years old). The pictures on the website are up to date and this has been confirmed by Welcome Cottages. We are really sorry that you found old hot cross buns in a cupboard; we have addressed this with our Housekeeper. Crockery issues have also been addressed with the Housekeeper because this is a serious issue and we welcome and appreciate your feedback. As for the blinds, they do open and close however, following your feedback, they will be replaced very soon and apologies for the inconvenience. Many thanks for your input as this helps us to ensure that the property is presentable.
