Swallows nest is in a lovely location albeit a bit secluded, which is no bad thing when you want a relaxing break. The cottage is a good size and well kitted out and very clean. The grounds, particularly the lake are stunning c/w with all of the wildlife. Highly Recommended.

We enjoyed being in the cottage and the area, the only thing that bothered us that the cottage was just too hot at night,we had a word with the owner about the under floor heating.very enjoyable place to stay.

The best holiday home we have ever stayed in. All of the rating options fully deserve 10. The location would have got higher had there been a chance. Truly a little piece of heaven on earth.

I still miss Swallows Nest and its wildlife: the ducks in the pond, the sheep in the garden, the stoat in the stones, the rabbits in the holes. You have everytime something to see and experience e.g. that a rabbit chases a stoat and vice versa. The house is cosy and elegant and I felt like nobilitiy having breakfast on the terrace with that spectacular view.

Very nice cottage, I did at times feel a little cool and would have liked to have had the ability to turn the heating up.
