Fantastic!!!! The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It was very easy staying there and the location was amazing-it was great having sea views from every room. We made full use of the tennis courts and it was lovely being right on the coastal path. We will definitely return!!

The cooker was falling apart and was unusable despite the previous "guests" commenting that it needed to be replaced. There was still only one tea towel despite the owners' comments elsewhere on these pages that they always ensure there are more. Only one half-used toilet roll presumably left by the previous guests. No spare bin bags or those little bar soap these cottages usually have. At these prices, I didn't expect so much evidence of cost cutting by the owners. Certainly not worth the money. The only good point was the lovely view.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We apologise for the broken oven but unfortunately the comments about the cooker from yourself and the previous guests had only been written in the guest book. Our Welcome Notice asks that you contact our caretakers about any problems, the Guest Book is there to provide suggestions to future guests about local attractions, good or bad restaurants etc. You are correct that the previous guests had written in the Guest Book that the grill was not working, your entry a week later reports that the oven door is hanging off. The guests that followed you did report the broken oven to our caretaker on the Tuesday evening of their stay and it was replaced with a new cooker on Friday afternoon. Once we know about a problem it will be corrected. We have spoken to our cleaners and they say that there were two spare tea towels in a kitchen drawer and two spare toilet rolls in the cupboard above the toilet in the bathroom. We feel your comments about cost cutting are not appropriate when almost £2500 was spent on two new sofas and two new new single mattresses in April 2016 and a new double mattress in November 2015. Finally we can assure you that the cooker was working correctly in mid July when we stayed in Spindrift. It is just unfortunate that the broken cooker was not reported to our caretaker sooner.

We had a brilliant week, Spindrift was ideally situated for what we wanted to do and we were blessed with lovely weather.
