Close to the beach, pubs, parks, golf course, bowling green and the pretty village of Mundesley, this spacious bungalow has everything on its doorstep.

Just a few minutes’ walk from wonderful sandy beaches and the heart of this beautiful coastal village, Southbank is a lovely spacious bungalow. It is fully equipped and offers excellent, light and very comfortable 4 star accommodation, making it ideal for both families or couples. Gardeners will love the full range of garden tools, and are welcome to potter about.
Mundesley village has everything on its doorstep, including shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and even a tourist information centre in high season. Gold Park is a short stroll away with crazy golf, toddlers swing park, skateboard park, outdoor gym, basketball and tennis courts. In August, there is even a circus in the park for two weeks. For golfers there is Mundesley Golf Course, a challenging 9 hole course and Mundesley Bowls Club, both within walking distance and both very welcoming to holiday makers. There is also a children’s play barn on the edge of the village for the under 7s.

This is a great area for birdwatching, coastal walks, golf, fishing, cycling, boating or simply having family fun on the beach. Excellent year-round dog friendly beaches are only 7 minutes walk away, located either side of the main beach. Wroxham, known as the ‘capital of the Broads’, is just 12 miles away for boat hire and river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. The popular seaside town of Cromer is 7 miles away with its famous pier. There are many NT properties such as Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park just a short drive away. Blakeney Quay, for seal trips, is 23 miles and the city of Norwich is just 20 miles, with excellent shopping, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, cafés and restaurants, or a little further, Great Yarmouth is 27 miles away.     Fantastic holiday home! Well equipped throughout, particularly the kitchen. The owners have thought of everything! Very clean and spacious, lovely comfortable beds, great garden for our two boxer dogs to run around in. Good off toad parking. Short walk to the village shops (great local butchers and deli), cafes and pubs. We really enjoyed the lovely food at dog friendly Ship Inn. Dog friendly beach 5 mins walk. We will definitely return! Only negative comment is the sofas in the lounge are a little uncomfortable 😟

    We stayed in lovely accommodation that met all our needs and requirements. The cottage was dog friendly which also meant that we didn't need to worry about him. We had numerous days out in varying places that kept us busy. These days out included, hiring an electric boat on the Broads, heading to National trust Properties, enjoying the outdoors finding deer and seals and also going on a steam train (rainy day activity) . We also were able to sit by the sea most evenings as our cottage was within a ten minute walk of the beach. The holiday was just really relaxing and the escape from reality we needed.

    Fantastic property in a great location - there is plenty to do in Mundesley and it is convenient for accessing North Norfolk. The cottage is very spacious and well-equipped with comfy beds and a very good shower. There are some games and toys as well and our two children (6 and 5) loved it. Just a few minor things prevent me giving this 10 out of 10, i.e. the garden needs some work and some of the kitchen equipment needs replacing, but we would happily stay hear again and heartily recommend Southbank.

    Pros - spacious bungalow which has private front garden and fairly private back garden. The owners have provided everything to make it a "home from home" holiday, far more than most other properties we have stayed in. The double bed is very comfortable and we slept well. Cons - the bungalow is on a mixed estate of both council and privately owned properties and was busier than expected. The driveway is very steep. Parts of the garden are quite uneven and would be difficult for the elderly/less mobile. You could easily get locked out of the front door as, in fact, we did. The next door neighbour is building an extension and it was quite noisy on some of the days (not at night) although hopefully this will be a temporary problem.

    Response on behalf of the owner: We are very sorry if you experienced some noise from next door, who are indeed having a small extension built onto their kitchen, however, as you say, this is a very temporary problem. It is perhaps the reason why the road seemed busier than expected as this is normally a very quiet area. Thank you for thinking of our elderly/less mobile guests but I would like to reassure you that my 94 year old father uses the garden with no problem at all. Whilst the drive is sloping, it levels off at the top so there is no need to walk up the slope to the property if you park close to the garage. We are sorry to hear you locked yourselves out. The front door has a Yale lock so obviously this is a possibility. We do advise guests where spare keys are kept so it is always a good idea to read the instructions in our information folder when you arrive and make a note of where to get spare keys in an emergency.     Very good bungalow very comfortable. Had everything needed for an enjoyable holiday including a large enclosed garden which our cocker spaniel also enjoyed. An outside light would be appreciated. Mundesley was a lovely village and the bungalow was only a 10 minute walk to the sea front with plenty of pubs cafes and shops and parks to enjoy. highly recommended.
