We had a lovely stay at Solent View. As others have said, yes, the bungalow is a bit dated, however the owners had really pulled out the stops with the items within it, and we really appreciated the biscuits, milk and wine! In all honesty it is only really the carpet which lets the bungalow down, and if that was replaced it would be perfectly lovely for a holiday stay. The bungalow is in a fab position. We were not put off by the bumpy road leading up to it (we have far worse ones in our village!). It has simply stunning views and the patio area was perfect for watching the boats (and the red arrows!) and having bbqs. The children were very excited by the resident badger who came out at night and was easily tempted onto the patio by a banana trail. We had a lovely week and would definitely recommend Solent View.

An idyllic spot for exploring the West Wight. Cottage maybe needs a redecoration at some stage but the garden view more than makes up for that!

The place was clean but in a 70s timewarp . Velvet headboards on beds ,carpet in bathroom (very unhighenic) teak 70s furniture Dralon 3 piece suite. Awfull floral curtains. It was not very big for 4 people. It was not equipped for self catering, there was no chopping board no milk jug no vegetable peeler no bread bin no strainer no microwave containers to cook in no fruitbowl ,it was very poorly equipped for cooking. There is no place to eat on site. The worse thing was the road leading to site it is so rough that a 4 wheel drive is the thing needed, we worried for our car it was awfull. The really good thing was the view which was so good we spent most time outside on patio looking at it.
