A lovely cottage plenty of space in a very nice location very central for touring the area and the museums useful as the weather was varied Snow Hailstones Cold Sunny rain all that before 10 o'clock one morning a cracking holiday and the 3 dogs enjoined it as well. The owners were friendly I would recommend going on a tour of the farm with the owners.

Lovely spacious property well equipped and located a short distance from a large number of attractions. Owners were lovely and even allowed my 4 year old to feed some of the new lambs from a bottle.

We had a really lovely time both the barn and the outside space were really spacious. The owners were very friendly and helpful allowing one of our party to help feed the new born lambs. The only criticism I have is regarding the beds, this problem to be fair is not just this property. We have used many holiday homes from different companies and have always wondered why people don't give a little bit more thought to their beds.

Beautifully presented barn conversion with HUGE rooms. I loved the view into the lambing barn from the twin bedroom windows, but between January and April be prepared, if using this room, to be woken by sheep baaaing for a few minutes around 6am. I decided the chance to view the teeny lambs was worth that minor inconvenience! The cottage is in lovely surroundings with excellent, private, outside seating, but it is quite a way from the nearest towns or shops. You definitely need a car. There are lots of interesting walks and places to visit within a half hour's drive, but walking from the property (apart from around the farm fields) is not recommended due to the narrow, quite busy road. We never go back to the same holiday cottage twice, but if we did, this would be high on our list for a return visit! So peaceful and relaxing!

Beautiful cottage, very well equipped, lovely family, and delicious lemon drizzle cake. Plenty to do in the area, even at Christmas. Children loved it, son still asks to go back. Would definitely recommend.

Photos of barn do not do it justice even though they are good. Would definitely recommend this cottage to all. Lemon drizzle cake baked by the owner beats mine & I thought mine was very good. Looking forward to hopefully going again.

Skimblescott Barn itself was lovely - very spacious, clean and with a lovely enclosed garden for our 3 dogs, who loved it. We liked the owners very much too, who made a great effort to make up feel at home and welcome. The only "downside" for us was the location, and it was probably my fault for not having done my homework properly beforehand, but the nearest village was Much Wenlock, which was 7 miles away, and all the other places we'd heard of were quite a long drive away too, so we got exhausted just driving around to find things, and, of course, it got dark early and the farm gateway is NOT easy to find! We're both quite ancient - and "townies" too, so yes, the countryside IS beautiful, lovely views everywhere, but somehow we couldn't seem to find too many places where we could safely park and walk the dogs off-lead, and no nearby interesting little village shops even.

In these times the most important thing for the family is to spend time away from it all. This is the perfect place with no phone signal! Excellent facilities to eat in as well good places within driving distance to eat. It was perfect for us and the two kids.

This is a lovely cottage. Very spacious with open views across the fields to the Shropshire countryside. The owners own the working farm which is next door. They introduced themselves when we arrived but we're not at all intrusive, and although the farm is busy we never heard any noise. The cottage was well equipped but would benefit from additional crockery and cutlery. It is ideally situated for visiting lots of interesting historic places and gardens. Ludlow is well worth a visit as is Powys Castle. Can high,y recommend a stay here and wouldn't hesitate in going back there.
