Imagine waking up to the sunrise overlooking two of England’s best beaches at Sennen and towards Cape Cornwall, and in the evening having sunsets from the terrace overlooking the Land’s End Lighthouse and the Scilly Isles. All this from visitors’ own 270-degree living room (40ft across) designed in the round with seven sets of sliding patio doors leading out onto a huge decked terrace. This house is in the most stunning location nestling high on the headland at Mayon Cliff surrounded by NT land and the dramatic coastline towards Land’s End. Shark Fin is the ultimate architect-designed house with all the very latest hi-tech eco features. Use of the natural environment has been paramount to harness the earth’s energy. A heat pump with two 80-metre boreholes provides zoned underfloor heating to all rooms, solar panels discreetly incorporated into the rear roof slopes provide energy for hot water and photovoltaic panels for electricity generation. Rain is recycled from the roof for toilet flushing and garden taps. Sennen Cove boasts one of the loveliest stretches of sand in Cornwall and still retains much of the original atmosphere of a fishing village with its own life boat stations. A very popular spot for surfers and for families with children. This property is ideal for friends or families looking to walk or relax and watch the sun set over the ocean. On the beach there is a lovely restaurant, a café and a local village pub ‘The Old Success’. Also two other cafes, tea rooms and local shops are a short walk down the cliff from the property. Visit the nearby Minack Theatre with its open air amphitheatre cut into the cliff looking across the ocean. It is a short air trip from Land’s End airport to the Isles of Scilly.

    Outstanding views, fantastic home, clean, love the open plan living space. The bedrooms were wonderful all having private outside space. My critism would be lack of wifi ( which is a real contact need for many , regardless of it leisure uses as well ) single Duvets on double beds ( which are both odd and a bit uncomfortable for a couple ) excessive amount of notes and No Smoking signs, which can feel a little unwelcoming. Whilst these points would probably not stop us coming back it would make it the best placed we have ever stayed in the far west.

    Had a great holiday at Sharkfin, lovely views from high elevation and everything we needed for our comfort and convenience. For me personally the only drawback due to my short stature was low dining chairs though there were adequate cushions to lift me. Despite being October it was warm enough that we didn't need to use the fire. Is in a lovely location above Sennen Cove although access lane a bit bumpy. Within short distance there are a good fish and chip shop, fantastic seafront restaurant and friendly pub. Only drawback the lack of wi fi availability though maybe not a bad thing on holiday and it is at restaurant and pub. A big plus, two actually, well equipped kitchen as I like to cook and shortish pleasant walk to Lands End.

    The photographs on the website are lovely but do not accurately represent the stunning beauty of this incredible house, settled high above Sennen in the most perfect location. We were blessed with week long sunshine and sparkling sea views from this remarkable 'grand design' building. Everything we needed was available; very well equipped with added luxury, comfort and style - powered by 'green' energy and making the most of ecologically friendly technology. A great location for walking the coastal path and picture postcard seascapes all round. Thanks to the owners for making their dream home available to us to rent. Shark Fin was a big part of making our break so memorable. We left our hearts there when it came time to leave. All our sentiments are echoed in the 'Comments Book', with other families reserving the next break before they leave. A very special place in deed.

    Shark Fin is a beautiful property in a breathtaking location overlooking the lovely Sennen Cove. The property is stylish and well-equipped, very high spec. We enjoyed some nice walks to Lands End and down to Sennen Cove for posh fish and chips at Ben Tunnicliffe's fab beachside restaurant. Garden and house immaculate. It's a long way out from, well almost everywhere, which is kind of the point but be prepared that it is a little isolated - this includes no Wifi, bliss!
