It is only half a mile from the picturesque village of Brighstone with its thatched roof shops and cottages, pub, restaurant and small museum. This welcoming home has a well equipped kitchen, a conservatory and sea views from the master bedroom. This area is fantastic for scenic walking. Footpaths from the house lead to breathtaking routes across miles of Heritage coastline or onto the Downs, joining the popular Tennyson Trail leading to Tennyson Down with its monument and on to the Needles. West High Down and Headon Warren are other popular walks in the area. Quiet lanes and off-road trails make the area ideal for cycling, and the sign-posted 60 mile ’Round the Island’ cycle route passes through the village. The unspoilt west coast beaches, including the secluded, sandy bay of Compton is within a 10-minute drive, and plenty of outdoor pursuits including sailing, fishing, golf, cycling, paragliding and watersports can be found locally. Within easy reach are many tourist attractions, including the Needles, Blackgang Chine, pottery painting at Chessell, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Calbourne Water Mill, Dinosaur Isle, Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, The Garlic Farm and many more. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    A very nice property with plenty of room, in good order and one of the best properties where we have stayed. The location is good and Brighstone has a newsagent, good food shop and the Three Bishops Pub. The only minor downside is that the short lane leading to the property is a bit rutted and narrow. On the other hand the place is peaceful and quiet.

    We had a lovely holiday at Sandrock on the Isle of Wight. The cottage was peaceful, secluded, clean, well equipped and had a good garden. There was plenty of room for 6 of us including 2 small children. Everyone enjoyed the holiday and found plenty to do. As most of this was outdoors it was great to have warm, sunny weather. The cottage was close to the coast and many of the attractions on the island.

    A beautiful property with lovely views and a beautiful enclosed garden. We went as a family of 6 and a dog. 4 adults including 2 senior citizens and 2 children. Property was extremely well equipped and everything was easy to find and use. Downstairs toilet was a bonus. Would love to go back.

    Lovely cottage - great location. My family and I had a wonderful time at Sandrock it had every thing we could wish for and more!!! we would definitely go back again.

    Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely house in a great location, ideal for our family including my elderly mother and two dogs. We loved the patio and were so lucky with the weather we had breakfast there most mornings. The dogs enjoyed the garden, and the easy access to plenty of walks from the front gate. Excellent variety of places to eat nearby and plenty of information provided to help find them.

    Very nice holiday home with lovely views. Perfect location to have a rest apart from the noisy crows! Lol

    Property generally fine except starting to look a bit tired: shower leaked. The fridge is far too small for a property of this size. If you are going to bother leaving wine - don't leave the cheapest bottle of wine its possible to get ( £3.49) its worst than leaving nothing. Its better to spend £6-7 and generate some goodwill.
