It is only half a mile from the picturesque village of Brighstone with its thatched roof shops and cottages, pub, restaurant and small museum. This welcoming home has a well equipped kitchen, a conservatory and sea views from the master bedroom. This area is fantastic for scenic walking. Footpaths from the house lead to breathtaking routes across miles of Heritage coastline or onto the Downs, joining the popular Tennyson Trail leading to Tennyson Down with its monument and on to the Needles. West High Down and Headon Warren are other popular walks in the area. Quiet lanes and off-road trails make the area ideal for cycling, and the sign-posted 60 mile ’Round the Island’ cycle route passes through the village. The unspoilt west coast beaches, including the secluded, sandy bay of Compton is within a 10-minute drive, and plenty of outdoor pursuits including sailing, fishing, golf, cycling, paragliding and watersports can be found locally. Within easy reach are many tourist attractions, including the Needles, Blackgang Chine, pottery painting at Chessell, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Calbourne Water Mill, Dinosaur Isle, Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, The Garlic Farm and many more. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    Very nice holiday home with lovely views. Perfect location to have a rest apart from the noisy crows! Lol

    Property generally fine except starting to look a bit tired: shower leaked. The fridge is far too small for a property of this size. If you are going to bother leaving wine - don't leave the cheapest bottle of wine its possible to get ( £3.49) its worst than leaving nothing. Its better to spend £6-7 and generate some goodwill.

    The overall property was lovely and a great home from home. The Isle of Wight is a great place to explore and we would thoroughly recommended it. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return. A visit to fresh water bay and ryde is a must.

    Excellent house for a multifamily holiday. Kitchen and house really well equipped, ideal for a mixture of ages -we ranged from 8 months to 62!! Everything was clean, well maintained. the garden was really safe for the little ones. we loved the peace and quiet up the lane. excellent folder of information. we enjoyed the walks from the house. We had a great holiday and would love to return.

    This was our third visit to this property and was once again very much enjoyed. The property is along an unmade lane with a sharp turn into the driveway. Bungalow was clean, tidy and the heating was on for us in late Feb. Plenty of kitchen utensils and instructions for various appliances. The bungalow can sleep six and there are plenty of chairs for all. The garden was well kept and seemed safe and secure for those with dogs. The only items that was missing for us was the clear recycling bags as these have to be put out at gate for collection.
