The location in regards to position and view was amazing ,however without a vehicle there is absolutely nothing for miles regards shops ,eateries, etc. Although we loved the isolation once we had stocked the fridge and freezer and found little reason to leave the accommodation. There are ares within the cottage that need some TLC but all in all the home was clean and tidy and had EVERYTHING we needed to make for a comfortable stay. My only criticism is the bed linen and pillows for such high cost this was of very poor quality:( also it would be good if the owners could give a average cost of a weeks stay for the electric as it has to be cash and on your last day you don't want to be left with too many euros, so knowing roughly what you will need would be good. I would also suggest some plastic cups plates etc for children ( apologies if they were there and we did not locate them ) and a little more explanation on the recycling and bin situation, but other than that a fabulous break in a well equipped home with lots of space for all :) :) if can afford will attempt to return next year a little later in the season :)

Arrived - 1st week of April 2016 Wow - pulling up to this cottage leaves a lasting memory for life. The images and description on the site do not give it justice. It is absolutely beautiful! We all flew into the house with such enthusiasm and the views from the house did not disappoint. We were welcomed by the house keeper who had limited English but was very friendly, I always find this quite awkward as when staying in English properties you rarely have this and I don't personally like it. We were shown every room when really all we wanted to do lick back, throw the kids in the pool, open a bottle of wine and enjoy some bread and cheese after a very long journey! We then had to sit down with the housekeeper to pay upfront for cleaning (will come back to this), Linen (will come back to this) and the tax upfront. We were also asked for a deposit which we were not prepared for. The location of the property is truly marvellous with 180 degree views, you do need a car as decent supermarket, restaurants and activities are all a good 15 mins drive away. The house has everything you need - but is not luxurious! It is a bit like walking into someone elses home who has just popped out for the day. The main areas were clean, but not fresh and certainly not a house that sparkled. Interior glass in showers and sky lights had not seen a clean in a long while, the glass covered pool area also need a good old jet wash. Luckily and most importantly the main windows looking out onto the view were spotless. The house was comfortable, slightly rustic and incredibly good value for money. No doubt if it was state of the art and showroom style accommodation you could at least double the cost to stay there. We loved it and are so very glad we could afford it. We just had to put up with old soap bars at sinks, filthy utility cupboards, a cloakroom used as a cushion store with gardeners gloves left at the sink for good measure. (Not a complaint really, I would just like anyone else visiting to be prepared) I hope it doesn't change as it would push it out of our price range and I cannot wait to return! Not sure I will ever be brave enough to try out the brand new sauna for one, plonked in the cellar/store-shed amongst a host of clobber (bit like my garage at home). Linen charges. This totalled 100 euros for one set of linen pp. We arrived to find it left on beds (yep you have to make your own) it was also damp. - Not good - (luckily we found lots more in a downstairs cupboard) Next time we will either bring our own or buy it when we get there, or indeed do neither, use the linen already there and wash and clean it again prior to vacating. I also think a one hundred and twenty euro cleaning charge was a joke. That house can only have had a couple of hours cleaning tops! I think a lot is spent on the garden, which although lovely should not I believe be something that comes out of the customers pocket. However all this said, we were very happy, loved that we could afford it and really want to visit again soon. It could do with a visitor book!
