Very comfortable but with elderly parents the steep hill meant they could only come and go in the car.

The property is homely and comfortable, very well equipped and has a lovely, mature garden with great views over Loch Gare. The owner, Dari, couldn't have been more charming and helpful. She even came to check on us to see if we were OK after a very rainy night has caused the already pot-holed lane to break up even more, sending a torrent of water gushing down the lane and into the drive towards the house.

Owners next door and readily available. They were friendly and welcoming and the bottle of wine was a nice welcoming gesture.

Hi, We had an amazing time staying at the Rosemuire Cottage in Helensburgh over Hogmanay. The owners Mr & Mrs You g came down just to make sure we'd settled in okay and very kindly left us a bottle of wine too. Very thoughtful we thought, nice touch. The cottage itself was very clean, very cozy and very well equipped with everything and more than you'd get in most people's own home. We had two dogs with us and the owners again left out "dog bedding" for them. We had our own but it was again, a very thoughtful gesture. There are two showers, one in the main bathroom and one just as you enter on your left, there is also a washing machine and lots of bed linen and towels. The kitchen was fully equipped, every utensil under the sun, great cooker and oven. Lots of plates, bowls and cups/glasses. Large table big enough for our party of 8 adults and 1 toddler. The bedrooms (2x Twin-Rooms, x1 Single and x1 double) were very well kept and in keeping with the cottage vibe. There was also a pullout bed in the single bedroom as an extra. The living room was spacious and had a log burning fire (1st supply of wood free, £7 thereafter), great feature. There was also a piano that kept us amused as no one had any previous experience at all haha. There are many board games and many dvds if you need entertained too. The views from the rear of the cottage are beautiful, overlooking the sea and the hills as a backdrop were stunning even if the weather wasn't - was Dec in Scotland after all. The grounds - they have goats that roam around the adjoining field and there is a gate where you can access this. The garden is massive and we played some ball games with the nephew in it, great fun for the dogs too. There was a chimnea and BBQ available but the weather prohibited us from enjoying them unfortunately. There was a futsal (table football) in the garage but we never used it regrettably. Tesco is the closest supermarket in Helensburgh - not too big but still good enough for the main supplies. There is a massive Waitrose and Asda a further 5 minute drive if you fancy that too. Overall we had a fantastic time exploring the area and staying at Rosemuire Cottage. Would recommend and hopefully be back in the future. Cheers, Bill & Ashleigh Ewing
