There is also easy access to golf courses including the Loch Lomond championship course. Cameron House golf and spa and Lomond Shores, offering designer shopping, loch cruises and an aquarium, are about 15 minutes away. Various nearby distilleries, including the famous Glengoyne Distillery, offer tours. Rosmuire is about 3 miles away from Helensburgh with shops, supermarket, pubs and coffee shops, and areas of interest include the Waverley paddle steamer and the National Trust Hill House, which was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904. Great location ,overlooking Gare Loch. End of a NATO exercise meant Warships from several countries were seen from the Lounge window plus a couple of Nuclear submarine's. The cottage was comfortable and convenient to visit Oban,Dunoon,The Trossachs and North Ayrshire all of which we did. The location and easy access to many popular area's maybe justify it's price but some money need's to be spent, in particular on the Shower room which needs updating so that a tall person can comfortably use it ,there is no picture of it on the site which probably say's it all.To be fair the main Bathroom has been updated and has a very effective shower. We very much enjoyed our stay and think the view and location would be difficult to beat.
