We had a pleasent stay, The Cabin was small but had everthing you needed. It was a very nice place to be. It was a very quiet en lovely place. The only thing wat wasnt nice was the noise of the way around the corner. The surroundings and nearby places are very beautifull. In this area is a lot to see. We recommend Pear Three Cabin higly to stay in.

My co-traveller and I were very disappointed with our stay. Very limited 'self catering' facilities with no worktop space available - we had to eat out every day. The entire cabin felt very crampt. Limited towels, tea towels and 1 toilet roll. Consderable overnight road noise - at times the cabin literally shook. When the paths were wet my friends crutches were continually slipping from under him. Due to the positioing within the owners grounds there was very little privacy. Not impressed by the experience which will not be repeated.

Response on behalf of the Owner; It’s always disappointing to read that a guest has had a less than satisfactory experience and I’m genuinely saddened that your short break did not meet your expectations. However, upon reading this review and the letter sent in, it is apparent that you may have booked something unsuitable for your needs at the outset. Nowhere in the listing does it state that the property is suitable for those with mobility issues and I’d advise anyone with those needs to find a more suitable property as I cannot adjust the size of the cabin, it is what it is. My previous guest though was in a wheelchair and had MS and left a glowing review in our guest book. I don’t recall ever having a single complaint about road noise from previous guests, though it is clear from the map that we are near a main road and there isn’t anything I can do about that. It is perfectly possible to cater for 2 persons in the cabin, numerous people manage it. The space is limited of course as is clear from the listing so it may be difficult to bake cakes or do a full Sunday roast but we don’t advertise the property as being any more than it is. There is a cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle, there’s also a dining table with a cover and a cupboard that can be used as prep space if you need to get more inventive. Regarding privacy, the listing states that it is in the grounds of our property but it is a long way from the house and we leave guests alone. We cannot avoid walking past the property as we share the same path and don’t quite understand the problem here. At no point during your stay did you think to call me and address any concerns. Although I couldn’t change the layout of the property or move the road for you I am very approachable and could have easily helped you resolve your problems connecting to the Wi-Fi, offered you extra towels and toilet rolls, shown you how to work the brand new shower and fixed the broken light in the kitchen. Thankfully your review is quite unique looking at our reviews on here, on Airbnb and in our physical guest book. I’d suggest in future you do a little more research finding a property that better suits your needs and ask lots of questions before making the final commitment.

My wife, myself and our large dog very much enjoyed our stay at Pear Tree Cabin. We found it comfortable and when it poured with rain one night we felt cosy tucked up in a nice warm bed. As for location there is the Kennet & Avon canal just up the road, there is a nice pub with large garden across the road and a bus stop just around the corner from which you can get to most of the surrounding area.

Lovely cabin. Pub with food very close by. On a bus route to local towns. Canal close by. Fishing is good. Lots of places to see. Enjoyed our week very much. Thank you 😊
