We had a lovely stay at Park View Cottage and Jane was a fantastic host, even picking us up from the garage after we broke down on the drive up! The cottage was well-equipped and well taken care of with everything we could have needed during our stay, Jane even left us a lovely carrot cake and pint of milk on arrival so we could have a much needed cup of tea! Glossop is a lovely town with plenty of nice restaurants and bakeries, I’d particularly recommend the Pico Lounge. It also has several supermarkets and a good value and fast train connection to Manchester. We’d love to visit again and hopefully next time we’d have better luck with our car!

Lovely cottage. On a particularly cold night it would have been good to have been able to use the fire in the lounge but otherwise we had a great stay.

I am writing a book and wanted somewhere to be left alone. I have two small dogs. This house was just beautiful. Jane the owner left me some delicious goodies on arrival. Her style and eye for interior design was in keeping with this gorgeous place. The bed was comfy. The kitchen was better equipped than my own. Great cooker too. Safe garden for the dogs. A load of books and films to watch. Luxurious victorian style bathroom. The house is opposite the most magical park land and within walking distance to the lovely Glossop. A few minutes drive on you are on the top of the Dark Peak. A treasure. I am definetely going back hopefully this year. 10 out of 10. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I was there for two weeks.

We stayed at the cottage at the festive to visit relatives in the area, we enjoyed our time in the cottage as it was very comfortable, cosy, nice and warm (snowy weather whilst there!) and lovely and clean. We especially like how dog friendly it was with garden and nearby park, owners even provided doggy bags! Thank you also the delicious Yule log and welcoming atmosphere!

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable and well equipped cottage. The enclosed garden was very handy for our small dog, as was the lovely park opposite the cottage. Glossop is a very nice and friendly town, with very good amenities and transport links into Manchester. We had a lovely meal in the local Napoli Italian restaurant. We had a fabulous five mile walk in the snow around the local reservoir. We would highly recommend Park View Cottage, and would love to return in the summer. thank you to the owner for a lovely stay.

A really lovely, thoughtfully equipped cottage in a great spot; near to the countryside and a short walk to the station with a direct line to Manchester.

A cosy comfortable cottage in a good location for walking and visiting the area. The only downside for me personally was the fact it is so dark inside but it is an old little cottage so to be expected. There was also very little storage in the kitchen as every cupboard was filled with something! Great enclosed garden which was safe for our small dog to go out in.
