Wonderful cottage, owners very hospitable. Only reason for not full marks was: 1. No phone signal or wifi in case of medical emergency 2. No grab rails in bathroom to allow for disabled access to bath or shower

Perfect cottage for our 5 night stay. In a lovely peaceful area and only a short drive to the Brecon Beacons. 15 minute country lane walk to a nice pub that serves fantastic food!

Cottage was ok, but not spectacular. Rather cold despite the woodburner. Sofa needs replacement. Not an issue for us, but be aware that there is no mobile phone/internet reception in the whole area around the village.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I'm sorry you weren't entirely happy with your stay here. The cottage does get very warm but as you used some of the wood that is green and not ready for burning then you wouldn't have got much heat out of it. The wood pile does have a sign on it saying, please do not use, green wood. It is a shame you didn’t ask us, we would have given you dry wood to burn, and there is also some coal available. We feel the sofa doesn’t need replacing and is adequate. It is an Edwardian sprung drop end sofa which was re upholstered to a very high standard. We have consistently maintained our 4 star grading and whilst opinions will always differ we constantly strive to do the best we can for our guests.

A lovely cottage set in a beautiful part of the countryside. This cottage is a bargain for the price they offer, a relatively small little cottage but has everything you need, myself and my partner felt very at home in this cottage. The only negative of the trip was that the hot water can run out very quickly and i would suggest showering early for hot water as it didnt seem to heat back up after around 7pm . As long as your showered early though it shouldnt be a problem, i would highely recommend this property, we will definitely be heading back at some point. The owner is very nice and provided us with milk, cheese, welsh cakes and many other toiletries etc, a vast number of board games are also in the chest which made for great fun sat infront of the fire.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We're so glad you enjoyed your holiday at Pantybryn Bach and thank you for your lovely comments. The hot water system can be altered to provide a larger tank of hot water and if you had asked us we could have adjusted it for you. There is also an override button. I have a much longer shower so I do understand.

Beautiful, quiet location, except on rare occasions the noise of a neighbouring cockerel! Cottage was more spacious than we expected. We did enjoy it in beautiful weather and enjoyed walking in the area as that was why we chose it.
