We had a lovely stay and the welcome cream tea was a nice gesture on arrival. The cottage is well equipped and has a beautiful open inglenook fireplace in the lounge. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything that you needed if you wished to eat in. The cottage was warm enough for us on our stay but might be a little cold upstairs in Winter.

The cottage itself is delightful and in a quiet and attractive setting. The rooms are a good size and mix of different styles of furnishings. Some of the features are however looking rather tired, especially the bathroom and also some aspects of the kitchen. The outdoor space is intended to be at the front which feels rather too public and the picnic bench is reminiscent of a pub. A small table and chairs at the rear would have been nice. We were made welcome by the owner and the makings of a cream tea were much appreciated.

The house has plenty of space for a larger family and the outlook to the rear of the property looks onto a field with cows grazing. There is a large garden to the front great for kids to play on. There is a pub about 500 metres from the property which is lovely but it is tricky to get to as you have to walk on a main road .We were made to feel welcome by the owner and new if we needed anything we could ask, the property is in the country side but yet beaches are only a 10 minute drive away so you get the beauty of both settings. We found the property dated and felt a little more updating in areas would be of benefit for example new mattress the springs were gone on them and to introduce wifi and update the kitchen it was tired and felt unclean we did have to wash anything we used before hand as it was dirty. The beams which were all in the property were impressive but needed a deep clean cobwebs were floating down from them . We had a lovely holiday and would consider returning if the owner maybe improved on some of the finer details a seating area to the rear of the property would have been nice as I felt sitting at the front of the house wasn't private enough as it looked onto the owners house. If you want something a little quirky then this property is for you.

We have been going here for many years so that must say something! It is good to see friendly faces in the neighbourhood too. The cottage is steeped in history and is absolutely lovely!
