Although we enjoyed our stay at Mulberry house overall, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage on our arrival. The whole house is in need of an intensive clean from top to bottom...the rooms are spacious but very dated, the beds were comfortable but the pillows and linen were old and in a shoddy condition. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed but again disappointingly dirty. We were pleased with the fact there were two fridges and three bathrooms with plenty of hot water and we loved the hot tub and used it every day..the barbecue was good too...

Absolutely loved it there, the house was gorgeous, beautiful large garden and the jacuzzi was great for relaxation time, the only thing with my husband and our son both being over six foot the beds were a bit short. Can't wait to go again

Lovely, spacious cottage with a large garden suitable for children and dogs to play as mainly grass. Also had a large, well kept hot tub. Beds were firm and comfortable and power shower in en-suite was a bonus. Trevor was very helpful if we needed anything. The only minor thing was that some of the sofas were not very comfortable. There are some pubs nearby and shops in Burnham. The house is set back from the main road, so it was quiet. Really enjoyable stay - hope to return.

Mulberry House itself is set in a massive gated garden that is brilliant for families. Directly behind the house is Mulberry House Farm, where jets etc are collected. As you enter through the front door there was a sitting room with jigsaws etc to the left, a further sitting room with tv adjacent and a larger country style kitchen with aga directly ahead. The second sitting room also had double doors opening in to the kitchen so was ideal for a play room for the children. Again from the front door, the staircase is straight ahead and just past this is the largest of the sitting rooms with leather sofas (a bit saggy) and a tv. As you enter the kitchen, to the right is a utility room which leads in to the sun room, also accessible through patio doors from the main sitting room. Also in the utility room is a small toilet and shower room. The sun room opens to the far side of the house on to a patio area, which in turn leads to the deck and hot tub. Upstairs there is a bathroom with a toilet and bath with shower over to the right, then the twin bedroom to the left. Following on are two further double rooms, then the master bedroom with en suite that includes a toilet and impressive shower. Once we'd run around moving China onto higher shelves, we found the house perfect for our family group of six adults, 2 four year olds and a one year old. The children had plenty of space to run around and play, grown ups could easily be together or have a bit of time apart as desired; and the huge country kitchen table meant not having to squash up to eat breakfast. More then one of our party would happily have run off with the aga too! We made good use of the washing machine and frying facilities. The bedrooms were light and airy - the only suggestion there being all rooms would have benefitted from black out blinds, summer weight bedding (it was very hot whilst we were there and the quilts were a high tog) and new pillows. We found it clean and tidy, although it could do with a deep clean to get rid of old cobwebs and spiders - to be expected in such a house, but still not welcome!! Reading the visitors book there is a lot of debate over the wifi or lack thereof. Whilst we did not mind not having it and in some ways it was nice to not have family glued to their phones; it was missed for not only being able to check out local attractions and book tickets in advance at discount prices, but also the telephone network coverage and to signal were not great, so really needed it for that reason alone. Overall, we had a really fabulous time and we're delighted with such a find on this property. We were so close to everything - ASDA within a mile, country pubs and chain pubs all within a two to ten minute drive, excellent beaches both in Burnham on Sea and within half an hour at Weston Supermere. We'd definitely recommend it and would stay here again in the future.
