Absolutely perfect. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Comfortable beds. Everything you might need is provided and well presented. Welcome cake and bottle of wine much appreciated. Great location for Hay on Wye and plenty of great walks nearby. Good selection of local pubs and places to eat. Excellent neighbours (sheep, horse and pig)

The only negative about Mouse Castle Barn was the Postcode, it took us down a single track lane which wasn't where the property was located! Eventually found the property and it exceeded our expectations, very comfortable beds with nice bedding, excellent heating, plenty of hot water, lots of seating in the lounge and everything you needed in the kitchen, even a cake stand! We were very impressed and would recommend Mouse Castle Barn.

The cottage was nicely finished with comfortable chairs etc. The location is on the outskirts of Hay but it was only a 10 minute walk into town so good to walk off a few calories after eating. Plenty of parking. Just bear in mind the twin room does not have a bathroom of its own so needs to share/use one of the doubles facilities. Lovely views out the front and a pleasant outside sitting area. Would use again if going back that way.

Mouse castle barn was excellent value for money. There was a few problems we found there was no WIFI - there was no Bbq and we were unable to control the heating so sometimes we were cold in the mornings cos it didn't come on and in the evening when we were cooking an evening meal we were sweltered cos the heating was on full blast. Otherwise the cottage was lovely very comfortable apart from the bed which dipped in the middle.
